Resident Evil 6 Collector's Edition Revealed

Capcom has officially announced the Resident Evil 6 Collector's Edition for Europe.

Alongside the game itself, the collector’s edition also contains loads of bonus guff, including an art book, an Avatar DLC code, a collection of metal emblems, a sweatshirt and more. It will be available at select, as yet unannounced, retailers.

If that’s not your thing, there's also a limited edition Steel Book version of of the game. It will retail for around the same price as the normal version. It’s sexy.

Full list of Collector's Edition contents:

Resident Evil 6 game.
Zombie Steel Book.
Exclusive Resident Evil 6 hardback artbook showing concept art from the game.
Resident Evil 6 Avatar DLC code for 360 owners OR an RE6 Dynamic Theme for PS3 owners.
Ivy University, Tall Oaks hooded sweatshirt (one size) .
'The RE6 forces emblems' - High quality enamelled zinc alloy emblems of the three main protagonists squad insignias, mounted and set in a limited numbered frame authenticated with signatures from Senior producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi and RE6 Director Eiichiro Sasaki. A must have piece for any fan of Resident Evil! .
All of the above amazing goodies are bundled together in the lenticular 'Needle Bomb' collectors box (as seen in the RE6 announce trailer).

Resident Evil 6 is out on October 2nd, 2012.

	Well, if this turns out to be overly expensive, I hope they release a more basic collectors edition with the digital content and the steelbook. I remember they did a similar thing for RE5 and I liked being able to get the steelbook without the bag and necklace which I knew I'd get no use out of whatsoever.

	WoW, thanks alot Capcom for fucking the EU over. Let's just give the US the best special editions and all we get is a fucking sweat shirt, steelbook and avatar crap. First you fuck your fans over by locking content on the disc, which is then clearly ready before it goes of to be published so should be included in the game free of charge, and now your being biased to regions. I would also like to thank Microsoft for fucking over the US for not allowing xbox live downloads if they were launch first on PSN, which fucks up the US special edition as the xbox fans can't get RE1, RE2 and RE3 which is the best deal in my opinion for a true RE fan. Rant over.

	The only thinng in that that I'd be intrested in is the art work book, :/ otherwise not really worth the buy, unless its pretty much the same price as standard. I'd rather get the other special edition if we can over here, the one with several other games included in the bundle, the one's that are pretty good deals.

	@15...WTF are you crying about that the US gets better CEs then Europe? They just said this is edition is exclusive to the EU and Aus. North America doesn't even have a RE 6 CE...not to mention North America can't even get an AC 3 CE, and the fricken game is based here.

	@36...I can tell your weapons-grade stupid, as can others. Just because what you interpret to be a collector's edition, doesn't mean it is one. There is a difference between a collection of games, and an actual collector's edition that contains unique items like a steelbook, or an art book. Using your logic, does that mean that the Devil May Cry collection is a CE because it contains multiple older versions of DMC?

	@41, yes you are right about the statue, but I still say that this is a bias move, you can't compare a steelbook and artbook vs a zombie statue to a steelbook and emblem vs 4 full games(xbox 360) or 6 full games(PS3. If we were just talking about physical items such as a figure or emblem etc I would not be pissed off. @42 Why are you argueing with me, read the article I gave you from here it says that they are a special edition, so that mean there will be only a limited run. Also you theory around The DMC HD Collection is not valid as that is not on a limited run.

	@43...I'm not going to banter back and forth with you over this ok, so I'll agree to disagree. The bigger issue for me is when publishers region lock certain editions. It's divisive and does a disservice to fans of the series. Personally, i think the needlebomb package, steelbook, and that set of mounted emblems signed by the developers is really nice, but I don't want to pay a massive amount just to import to North America.

	For the people complaining about the US getting the better "CE" which is intact a back catalogue. Why don't you just buy Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Code: Veronica X, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition and Resident Evil Degeneration DVD separately since there is nothing special about the Resident Evil 6 Archives apart from it comes in one package. If you don't own these games already I doubt you wouldn't have thought you would have been that big a fan to buy a more expensive collectors edition and if you want these games go buy them NOW, don't wait till October when you will want to play Resident Evil 6 to play the older ones. And for the people complaining about the European Collectors Edition not having any in game DLC just pre-order any version of the game then at Amazon or ShopTo or Zavvi or some other retailer since the pre-order bonus is all three DLC Mercenaries maps which correct me if I'm wrong the US only gets one map per store. Also for the people complaining about the PS3 Anthology getting Resident Evil 1, 2 & Nemesis thats because the PS3 can emulate PS1 titles to get these working on an Xbox the whole game would need to be ported.

	It would be nice to at least get the steelbook and art book over here in N.A. and @28, Ubi is putting together an CE for us, they just haven't announced it yet. Hopefully it'll be announced around the 4th of July.

	@58 Re-releasing a game with all DLC after one or two years is not something that only Capcom does, all these GOTY Edition, Ultimate Edition etc, its all the same thing and what is wrong with that its not like you have to buy it again to get the content from that version.

	Seriously fucking £70 for that, only listed on TheHut at the moment and only says Steelbook not limited edition, so we get no extra games, just avatar items, steelbook and signed emblems and we pay £12 more than the us ($89.99 being about £58) unbelievable.

	So damn disappointed about this. :( First Ps3 gets the Splinter Cell HD Trilogy and 360 doesn't. Now this! PS3 gets the entire RE series bundled (1/2/3/0), and 360 gets what? A damn RE movie?!?! Fuck that, I want to play the RE trilogy in HD and 0 too!!!! What a damn ripoff

	For the US PS3 Anthology Edition. The first 3 games are already on PSN for a start, and the games will be PS1 discs. They had a similar box set in Japan. It had Biohazard1-3 on PS1. Biohazard Revival Selection on PS3 and B4-CVX OST's.ANd be fucking thankful the Xbox one at least has Degeneration. It's a Sony movie. It's not Capcom's fault we don't have the HD's, it could be down to Microsoft. I'd say the games are too big to fit onto XBLA. And £70 is a great price. £40/45 for the game on average. The hoodie would cost around £10/20, steelbook normally adds extra. Say £5, art book around £5-20 depending on size, everyone begs for DLC bonuses for almost every game, and the patched are about £20 the lot in the box. Don't want it, don't get it. But remember RE5 LE? Europe: -Game -Bonus DVD -Steelbook US: -Game -Bonus DVD -Steelbook -Messenger Bag -Kijiju Necklace -Chris Figure It's about time we got something good from Capcom.
