what good old games did rare put out that
1. they have the rights to re-release (so no dkc, and i seem to recall reading that rights issues are why goldeneye hasn't been re-released)
2. hasn't already been re-released (so no perfect dark or banjoe kazooie)
i mean, they could do a conker re-release for xbla, but that is on the backwards compatibility list for the 360 anyways. i'd much rather see rare looking forward and either making a sequel to stuff they haven't touched in years like pdz or kameo, or focusing on new IP's |

| Adventure 1 is one of my favorite games of all time. To me Adventure 2 was the beginning of the fall of 3D Sonic. Twice as many Knuckles levels with Rouge? Why? Those were some of the worst parts of the first game. The Robotnik/Tails levels weren't nearly as good E-102 Gamma's stages. There was just less variety overall. The Chao Hunt objectives were stupid too. I've even started to really dislike Shadow as of late. It was awesome to see the intro re-done in Generations though. Especially in 3D. |

What kind of bullshit question is that, SEGA? Everyone who buys it will choose to save the world because THERE IS NO OPTION TO CONQUER IT. Who did SEGA get to write that crap for them, Casey Hudson?
Anyway, this is one of the worst Sonic games available, so none for me thanks. You can keep your grind rails and your 70+% of the game being treasure hunting and shooting while I go play something else. |

@41 you had to get A ranks in everything for an achievement on adventure...
and you had to get all emblems which to do meant A ranking every level and getting a perfect score on all minigames
then you have to do it again on the DLC with metal sonic for anotehr one.. |

After that...Just Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations are awesome and Sonic Unleashed was a step in the right direction.
If you ever people consider a bad Sonic game,that would be Sonic 2006.

Live and Learn indeed, so I will be passing it this time around, making it the first Sonic game for the Xbox 360 that I will avoid.
I got through it back on the Dreamcast and its still in my game vault, but I can't particularly say I enjoyed it back then.
I gave it another chance a few years later with the improved Gamecube version, but my goodness, I just couldn't play it beyond Pyramid Cave.
It was just too painful.
Now I'll grant you, SA2 is nowhere near as bad as Heroes or 2006, but for the life of me I will never truly understand why it is held in such high regard.
Despite its flaws and bugs, to this day I would still much rather the first Sonic Adventure. It had a charm and fun factor that leave more positive memories than bad.
I wonder how many gamers will find themselves in for a nasty shock when they play this for the first time after so many years. |

PSO2 isnt on the 360 though to my limited knowledge of the title, or is it? I loved PSO ver2 on tge GC, brilliant game because i kept my characters in my memory card and nkt the BS of Universe (like other MMOs though) where its on the server. I liked going offkine to rare hunt and then online doing full runs of the game. The music, sound effects and graphical style were truly Sonic Team and SEGA. I had so much fun playing with other people and due to no mics most seemed to be cool individuals. Ahhhh i miss it :(
As for this i agree with 78. I didnt fall in love with the first but i finished it, even bought it on the XBLA and found a new love for the game i didnt originally have. Maybe it coukd be the same for this but i cant see it happening. There was just somthing, un sonic like about it :/ and i HATE those damn treasure hunting stages.
As for SEGA not neglecting their old games im in 2 camps. Yes they release lots of compilations (unlike you KONAMI as i want Rocket Knight damn you!!) but they are nearly all the titles we know and always the same. Id love Revenge of Death Adder as ive never played it, HoTD (although PS3 is getting them but even wii doesnt have the original) Burning Rangers, Fighting Vipers, Light Crusader, Shadow Dancer and loads more. |

@43 Shooting? This isn't Shadow the Hedgehog, son. Although if you're talking about the Tails and Eggman levels, they weren't half bad. The mechanics go far beyond what you've described.
