Wow.. This really shows how low some companies can sink. I 'respected' the fact they released the stand-alone dlc's at a later date than the Premium package, but this is rediculous. This is a big letdown in Dice, for me.

@3 We're not shocked, we find it rediculous that people that bought the future dlc a /little/ earlier than us get acces to things that people who can't afford to buy it don't get. I, for one, already bought Back to Karkand, so I find it stupid to buy that again with the Premium pack.

I understand all the perks with the premium package it's just, I payed £30 for the game and now they ask me to pay another £30 just for content, as much as a I want the content, it just seems like a lot of money :/

As a big Battlefield fan, I wanted to get Premium anyway, but like with Live Gold, I'm not a fan of handing out the money in one go, but I do anyway... But I was also grateful of the Gears season pass as I would've bought all that dlc anyway, which eventually added up!

But I've no quarrels with a 'premium only' double xp event. Those who paid for it deserve a bit of a bonus too, not that xp is my concern anymore, I'd rather more maps. Even some Bad Co 2 remakes :)

Don't see the issue, You pay for the advantages.

What is daft is putting up two of the same time zones and missing out BST.

@4 what , you find it rediculous that people who pay for the premium service get a few (non game changing ) perks.I see it as a nice thankyou from ea for the people who payed out early to support battlefields continued support.
They arnt giving us new guns or better armour (if they were i could understand your frustration), i really dont see the problem.

I don't see why people are angry, premium is probably going to save me some MS points across all the DLC's and we get perks for "pre-ordering" the DLC, I mean, no one complains that if I pre-order my games I get heaps of bonus stuff

I really am disappointed in EA alienating its players. Sure last weekend was double Dp for all players and now this. Maybe the should next weekend double xp for non premium players only because they don't want to spend about $50-$60 on a dlc, there are a lot of great games coming outing the fall I would prefer to spend my money on those games then on alienating gamers on a video game.

@14 no you're one of those idiots who insults others for paying into their hobby, or are you one of those idiots who just loves to post negative stuff all the time,or are you both?
If you like a game and there are adds on available, whats wrong with expanding the experience, hell , you even said you would get them but not till they are on sale,(@11) which ,to me sujests you are "one of those idiots who likes to throw money" .you're just a tight version ;)

I would normally bitch about this..but to be fair, all I play is Battlefield these days despite being an achievement hunter.

I got Premium yesterday and this is a nice bonus but people who think this is going "too far" don't understand it's all fair business..their making money, we're saving it!

It all depends on whether you want the content or not..I bought Karkand for 1200 and still Premium seems worth it to me..

Only complaint I have is these annoying rented servers, they have taken over a little. no biggie but still they need some filter optons for the DICE servers or something.

I don't understand all the hate. You people buy Season Passes for other games, and the major number of DLC for those games sucks. Premium is like a Season Pass but with more advantages.
On some games the Season Pass only gives you the major DLC, and not all DLC and benefits.

@17 well done for giving yourself a thumbs up for your own comment.
Lets me say that I am sorry calling people idiots who pay for the premium and elite crap, I like saying good things about good games and negative thing about bad things. Theres a difference between being tight with money and being smart.

@21 i never thumb up or down any comment on this forum , and i wish they would remove them tbh.
i respect your opinion , and i agree there is a difference between being tight with money and smart (although i would say there are more similarities).
But in the big picture a £35 add on that gives you 5 dlc maps(at a discount i think?) earlier dlc access ,for a game you like to play is never going to be a foolish move.;)

@22
Yeah its saving you money ether way if you bought/LE B2K you save about 800msp
if you haven't got B2k you save 2000msp so both are decent savings

Not getting double xp for a weekend versus people who paid 60 dollars to pre order all the DLC is hardly alienating you.

@21

Consider the fact that anyone who still plays BF3 (and I do) would be buying all the DLC anyways. With Bad Company 2, I played that game from launch date right up to Battlefield 3's launch date. How is it *not* being 'smart' or 'tight with money' to pre-pay for all the DLC at a discounted price, and get extra bonuses to boot. You are letting the dark side flow through you, Skywalker.

@ALL COMPLAING NON-PREMIUM MEMBERS
If you don't want premium or think its too much money than don't buy. But understand if you don't buy it you are losing your right to complain about what premium members are getting. You don't hear us complaing about how you guys get to play Metro for the 5 BILLIONTH time with your 100 service star M416. So don't complain about our sexy dog tags and really pimp weapons shining there lights into your faces. Just use that crappy old in game knife to end all the pain as we run over your twitching dead corpse in our new green camo kits and AUG in hard screaming IN YOUR FACE!!!!

Regardless if you have B2K or not, it's a great deal. Put this into perspective, $15 for all DLC's. 4 DLCs you do not own already, thus $15 x 4 = $60. Plus all the exclusive Double XP, early access to DLCs, exclusive camos/gun camos/knife/bonus content drops. You are paying $50 for a season pass worth probably around $70 (ballpark estimate with all exclusives). I owned B2K and still purchased premium, it is a great deal. Way better than CoD Elite. What does Elite give you, exactly? New maps and Spec Ops missions? Yeah, that's cool. Being a Premium member (including B2K) has already added 20 new guns. Will CoD ever add guns as DLC?

...seriously, why is everyone so mad at EA for doing this when other companies do the SAME thing but give you less benefits?

I'm as stingy as the next guy when it comes to DLC especially when it turns out to be a let down, overpriceded or in some cases like capcom character unlock dlc a total ripoff.

That being said I did drop $50 for Battlefield premium and it is a deal. I got the LE version of BF3 so I already had Back to Karkand, but that cost $15/1200 msp for anyone that didn't have the LE editon.

There are 4 more DLC packs being released Close Quarters, Armored Kill, Endgame and Aftermath. Just based off of B2K and CQ I know that the mades and game modes will be worth getting and most likely each DLC pack will run $15/1200 msp each.

Top that off with 2 weeks early access to all DLC, extra weapon/soldier camo and double xp events and it was $50 well spent. Would I have preferred to not spend $50 yes...but it could be worse I could be paying to unlock on disc characters in SFxTekken.

@28: I really think Premium has got to your head dude lol. You're not king of the world because you bought a Premium service for a game just saying!

And I'm by all means not hating on Premium, but these Premium only XP events worry me because I feel like EA won't hold anymore for non-premium members. Of course they still might as they have had 2 so far so only time will tell.

@#34 You may be jumping the gun a little early there. There have been 2 double xp events so far both open to everyone. This will be the first premium only double xp...coming off last weekend's double xp for all event.

So far the calendar is calling out 1 premium xp event for every month. I don't know if there will be an open double xp event every month or not; but I can't see those events going only to premium members.

£33 isnt bad for premium i traded in a game so it cost me nothing.... you pay for a service you get rewarded for that service... stop crying about it. and for saying u cant afford it you only gonna pay more in the long run, with less benefits. you dont hear MMORPG fans crying that they pay monthly... they dont because they will pay to play it.you get double xp every month for premium plus the doulbe xp when the maps are released etc....

Put it this way you see someone buy V.I.P pass tickets for a concert and you have a normal ticket... are you gonna whine and bitch and moan that they got it better, when they clearly paid for 'having better'

my sole reason for the premium is that its dlc at discounted price and BF3 is probably gonna be played by me for many years to come.

I don't even hardly play MW3 and I got the edition with the DLC for a year that was $40 extra compared to the base game. It comes with much crap nobody needs (MP only stuff; no achies, so who cares) because in the long run the maps I might end up getting, and this time around survival and spec ops with actual GS.... The package deal is less expensive than buying them individually. Well, hey, I didn't even bother with Black Ops, and never got any of the addons for WaW, so why not funnel the money into MW3. Played the first two, gotta get the third one, get the game, maybe the maps etc. $40 is less than another game too. Same with Gears 3 and its season pass, even sort of like Saints the Third. Or AC Brotherhood and Revelations, in a way.

So what's so different with BF3, just way better MP, worth playing even after there's no more MP GS to get. If you got the game new like a lot of us did, that was $60 and included Karkand anyway. So Premium is just 4 expansions (for however many GS) for $50 instead of $60. And some crap like double xp and knives and dogtags nobody really needs comes with it, whatever.

Adding some BC and BC2 maps to BF3 would be sweet.
