OMG! So much bloody crying. For fuck sake even Ironside himself approves and yet little fan boys can't accept it. On track, the video looks real good and hopefully the action seen is something we will be able to do ourselves. but is the game a prequel because same looks 20years younger. Not sure if its just information I've missed elsewhere. Splinter cell blacklist will be getting my money, day one :D |

They should have just introduced a new main character and kept Sam as the voice in his ear. Also, ridiculously excited at the inclusion of Spy Vs Merc, lets hope they return it to its glorious roots rather than proving they learnt nothing from Double Agent. |

| I adored the first 3 SC's on the original xbox, but the 4th and 5th games were definitely a step away from what I used to enjoy so much. Im sure Ill get this, but I know nothing in this new game will compare to knocking out every enemy in the level and piling all of there bodies into one darkened corner of the map. I was gutted when I realised you could hide bodies in Conviction, it genuinely ruined the game for me... what can I say, I enjoy fiddling with corpses |

That's saddening. But Michael Ironside never really wanted to play Sam in the first place. He is a HUGE pacifist and really didn't like the level of violence in the games. It was because of him that they added the morality choices you first saw in Pandora Tomorrow because he wanted to add more to the character. I'll still play the game, but I'll miss Ironside. |

Does Sam Fischer have Benjamin Button disease? It's like he's getting younger with each game. Quit moaning about the loss of Ironside. The man doesn't want to do it. The role is too physical. I know, people aging is SO unfair. It's like James Bond changing from Sean Connerey to Daniel Craig. Yes, everybody wants the original, but he got old and it's time to pass the torch. If you ARE true SC fans like you claim, then it shouldn't matter who voices the role as long as they do a good job. |

Guess I wasn't the only one to think of the Bond example. Now I just look like a dick that copies and recombined other people's comments. Just replace the Bond reference with the different actors that played John Clark in the various Clancey novel movie adaptations. Right, too obscure. Shit, I got nothing. Just give it a chance, you may be surprised like that time you tried asparagus even though it smelled funny and it turns out you liked it. |

I'm not sure about this one. SC:C didn't feel like a Splinter Cell game. I loved the first three, and thought Double Agent was fairly decent. Conviction was a good game on its own, but I felt that it was a major letdown as a Splinter Cell game. So far, Blacklist looks too similar to Conviction, and the fact that Ironside is no longer voicing Fisher adds more disappointment to the mix. I probably won't buy this game, but it may be worth a rental or a bargain bin buy. |

Bah Michael Ironside made Sam Fisher stand out from the rest of the game action heroes. The new guy might be good but his voice is too generic. They might as well have asked Nolan North to do it. Game looks good though, a little much in the daylight for my taste so far. |

Thank god that there are at least a few people on here who actually consider themselves Splinter Cell fans and are able to see past a voice over change. I wonder though, how many whingers will stealthily shimmy their way to their nearest game store and pick this up day one. Ironside was a voice, yes a great one, but his voice did not make the series, it is the countless hours put into them by the hard working folks Ubisoft that made all of the games absolute must haves. |

i like the splinter cell games and while it is strange not having ironside doing the voice no way will it stop me playing the game as it looks amazing, ironside himself seems happy enough to give advice to the guy playing sam. the game has gone in a new direction by having the voice done while acting out the scenes in one motion rather than doing a voice over, while i like ironside and he is sam fisher i think people are making too much of a big deal over this. only my opinion though. |

Ironside MADE Fisher! He has such a dry sense of humour and his little nuances added so much to a character that could have been as bland, shallow and unexciting as a bowl of carrots... I'll still play this but I won't for an instant believe I'm playing as Sam Fisher. |

@51 I guarantee that many of the people claiming that they're not buying Blacklist because MI is gone will have the game in their Recently Played on launch day. That's how hypocritical haters are. I agree that Ironside made Fisher what he was and that trying to replace him is a tall order, but I'm willing to give Ubisoft a chance with this because I still think they're one of the better game developers around and I doubt they would have made a decision like this just to piss off a bunch of imbecilic cry babies. They know what they're doing. |

@52 He's not the head of Third Echelon, he is head of Fourth Echelon. And yes the naming is pretty poor it's a different agency. Basicly Sam after Conviction says "Never again you're all a bunch of idiots" The in this game the President says: "Pretty please?" And Sam says: "Only if I can make the team and lead it. It's my way or the Highway! And I will name it.... Fourth Echelon" |

| @43 @48. Your both wrong, spies vs mercs was started on sc:pandora tommorow, the second one, this was perfect. The next game was chaos theory which was very similar but many complained about unbalancing as the mercs had extra tricks this time, then was double agent which was still good but wasn't as good as either previous games for mp, conviction then came along with no mp spy's vs mercs and shit on all the good work done by all previous, this series peaked at pandorra tommorow (sc2) and has been declining slowly ever since, they need to look at the older titles and recapture the glory cos conviction was a shoddy sc |

Don't get me wrong, this is one of my favorite games period, but that's exactly why it's not going to be the same. | The only way I might accept it is if it's about Fisher's time as a SEAL before the NSA, back when he was younger. Otherwise they need to scrap Fisher and choose new characters or move on. It's like that guy who plays the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four films and who also plays Captain America (I think he was awesome as torch but horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible pick for Cap). A big W-T-F in my opinion; even though it's not the same type of comics, it's just not 'believable'. |

Wow people are allowed to voice their opinion about a VA change alright. You all have to admit, the relaism is lacking e.g. firstly, sam sounds/looks younger but this is apperntly a sequal due to the existance of fourth echelon and him being the leader of said group. Secondly, a field operative and the leader, this would never happen.lastly, This game as stated above screws with everthing Conviction stated at the end about sam never going back! Hopefully they remake this as a prequel and any further planned sequals should see Sam/Ironside as the advisor of a new field operative. P.s. this is all my opinion, so you all have a nice day now. I will also still buy this game but we all know in our heart of hearts it can and will not be the same, thankyou |

I just wish there was a way to keep the legend and still maintain this new direction :) |

| You crybabies need to buck up and accept the fact that voice work doesn't make a game. GAMEplay does.Yes, Ironside was amazing at playing same. From that video though, you could see they are using new techniques to the franchise that involved more physical work. Ironside, bless him, is too old to do it. This new guy isn't bad, I hardly could tell the difference. PLus, Spies Vs. Mercenaries is back!!! That's amazing. So just because you don't have your preferred voice actor, you're going to miss out on a great game? Good riddance. I'll have fun playing it, so will countless others who care about what REALLY matters in a game. |

| Out with the old in with the new, Splintercell has always been a great franchise, and even though I sucked at all of them except for conviction, I was, and still am a loyal fan. I am bummed that Ironside won't be doing the voice of Sam, but it isn't a deal breaker, and at least sam still looks like Sam, the plot of the game seems like it'll be amazing, and the gameplay looks fast fluid and fun. Nothing ever stays the same guys, why would you pay for the same game you bought a year or two back? If you don't like it, you can always go play ghost recon, or play R6: Patriots when it comes out. Hell maybe even some good ol' vegas 2. |
