2K Games has today announced that Spec Ops: The Line is set to get some bonus co-op DLC for free following the game's launch day this June. It'll be set among the ruins of a sandstorm inundated Dubai, just like the single-player campaign.

Comprised of four objective-based co-op multiplayer missions, Spec Ops: The Line's free co-op add-on promises to be fast-paced, requiring two players to work together as a team to battle through waves of enemies and savage, visibility-obliterating sandstorms to complete objectives using various weapons and explosives.

Spec Ops: The Line's co-op multiplayer mode will be available as free DLC shortly after the game launches on June 26th in North America and June 29th in Europe.

Free & Co-op are 2 things I like to hear. Bravo.

This game looks awesome and it looks like I'll be picking it up at release.

The environment looks good but after the demo it feels generic.

I don't know why they couldn't have put campaign co-op in from the start. It bothers me how many squad-based shooter there are that lack the feature. Not every game should have it, granted, but if you're going to add co-op at all, do it properly.

Free DLC that's what I would like to see more. Reading the post actually gave me the sense that it was supposed to be in the game from the start but they just couln't make it on time for some reason. So they decided to releas it as free DLC. Love this, just love this.
Respect to 2K! And Yager Development of course)

Is it really so hard to delay a game?

@10 & 12 They can't make people like you happy whatever they do...

If this was on the disk and you'd have to pay you'd complain,
if this was already included and some other first DLC would be paid you'd have something to complain because it is either to expensive or you aren't getting anything for free,
if this wasn't on the disk and you'd have to pay you'd complain,
if the game gets delayed to get it on the disk you'd complain
and now you're getting something for FREE and you still complain!!!

WTF!! what the hell does it matter if they removed it or just didn't have the time to put it in the game anymore!! You're getting it for free, so quit whining!

Tend to agree with post #13

Although Im not a fan of removing content from the disk( if thats what they even did ), then I would rather have it free and not pay for it like Capcom would have us do.

@13 They can make me happy, by just delivering a full game on a disc, without any sort of codes, preorder bonusses, DLCs, ...
I have never complaint about distribution models on previous generations of consoles, so one can indeed make me happy.

By my standards a product should only be sold if its finished.
Its pretty easy to state when a product is finished:
Are you still working on product? If the answer is yes, then a product is not finished and though should not be shipped.

Actually I wasn't really complaining, it was more of a serious question if its so big of a pain to delay a game.

I got 2 points:
1. If I have a console, without internet access I'm missing something of the game. Actually I am playing on different consoles depending on where I am.
2. I still play my old SNES, N64, ... games. If you think 15 years forward. There will be no more support for these games, so when I play them then I'll be missing major parts of a game.

Some gamestudios and developers should learn a thing or two about 2K and not trying to milk costumers instead bringing out overpriced map packs and stupid season passes where in the end those that bought it get rapped (as an example the season pass for Saints Rows 3) Where all the good DLC,s still had to be bought seperate. But we all know its mainly MS that setting up prices and force studios and developers that way. I just mention the fact that MS refuse to add arcade games like Red Baron or Lead And Gold to their list because..Yes u not reading this wrong! It was released first on the PS3, when the gamestudios from both games wanted to offer the game to MS to place on the marketplace MS said "Oh it has been released first on PS3? Well then we don,t want the games anymore!" I probly not have to mention this reaction isn,t just childish but also is bad for the gamers itself not be able to play games like that because MS act this way.
@ #17 That double XP only goes for those having the FUBAR pack, whats basicly a pre-order extra in some stores.
