| I don't want drop in co-op. It just means that if you want to play the game alone-y'know like a survival horror game, you are stuck with a dumbass AI companion and bits of the game feel like they would have been better/easier/designed for co-op. I would have had no problem with a separate campaign a la portal 2 or a horde mode but this I do not like. |

I will be getting it, but I really hope James Carver isnt an ammo sucking machine like Sheva in Resident Evil 5.
Would have prefered co-op being seperate, but I wont judge until I play it, just hoping for the best.
Also wondering if there will be zero-g areas, areas with no air, those areas that made Dead Space truly unique and fun to explore and navigate. |

| Not interested - whenever co-op is added to a horror game it's instantly ruined. Resident Evil 5 ruined. FEAR 3 ruined. Dead Space 3 will only continue the trend. |

| So its forced Co-op like Resident Evil 5? Sadly I probably won't get it : / Wanted to continue the story but the co-op in re5 was annoying. No matter what a AI is going to be annoying and having a partner that sucks is going to be annoying as well. |

| So where did this other character come from all of a sudden? More to the point, isn't James Carver the name of the guy from the Far Cry game? Or at least very similar. Co op will just ruin this series, as survival horror games are best experienced alone. Creates a better atmosphere for me at least. |

| Yes thank god for the ability to play the game the way it's suppose to be played, by yourself in the dark. Not with some co op partner, that takes away from the thrill and scare. |

| This is really disappointing news, worse even than having multiplayer, because at least I could avoid the MP (as I did indeed choose too with DS2), whereas having some AI fool spoiling my atmosphere cannot be ignored. Terrible news. There's no way I would want to play this in co-op, and this will now no longer be a day one purchase for me. I'll wait for the feedback from the fans (not the reviews) before I consider buying this, which is a shame as this was probably my favourite franchises |

| I was never interested in this series, but me and a good friend on XBL have been looking forward to new co-op games to play in the future and since this one will have it maybe i'll finally be able to get into it. Maybe even convince me to buy the previous games in the series, but until then i'll just smile at the fact that i'll have another game to add to the list to co-op with good friends! :) |

RE5 was not as scary with co-op, FEAR 3 was even remotely scary with co-op for some reason i believe otherwise knowing that Dead space had scared the crap out of me that i could not play the game late at night with the lights off, when things pop out of no where thats when it scary i can play both games now and still get scared to this day

There's a certain concept of irony that I don't think you're grasping. Some people here tend to dislike anything just because they don't agree with it, think they might get a good reaction out of the person who posted the comment, or because they think it'd be funny.
It's a cool series, and I'd recommend you might get into it, though it's best played when you're scared, and it's easiest to get scared when you play alone in the dark and immerse yourself.
There're also animated comics, animations and novels set in the Universe that you could look into if you enjoy it much.
