Instead of thinking of it as a beta, it's probebly best to call it a early access free download for it :D of course you'll have to provide them with feedback if you do find a problem but it's a small price to pay :D |

They won't select me as I had to lie about my character level and hours played. I put in over 250 hours into oblivion, but only about an hour of skyrim. My job took away any chance of getting lost in the world of elder scrolls. I hope those that play it and love it get to try the DLC. |

I was all ready to be signed up & wait, until I read the agreement at the end. There is a line in there that said as a beta product, bethesda can and likely will modify (patch) the beta product, which being untested, could modify, remove or delete any Skyrim data, as well as any data on the xbox itself. so the chance to play early vs even the smallest possible chance i could lose over 100 games worth of saves, hell even just my skyrim saves, I'm gonna wait. Its not that I haven't done other betas and had similar things to agree & sign to, but nothing the scale of a huge open world like skyrim & the sheer amount of unknowns that come along with. Just look at the stuff that happened on the actual retail release & think of the potential for stuff that could happen on a product thats being tested. I don't want to sound like I'm being derogatory towards Bethasda, I love their work & will be buying Dawnguard the day its released, but I want to avoid any system/game/data destroying (likely incredibly slim) possibilities. |

| @29, yeah I saw that too but what im gonoing to do if im picked is copy my skyrim saves to usb, remove my hard drive and play it that way. That way im in no risk of losing anything except a copy of my game. Easily resolved if u gave a usb and simple too. Another way is if you have two xboxs, back everything up to one and use the other solely for the beta. Two easy was to cut out the risk completely. |

@27 That is exactly why you copy your saves to a USB drive....I do that regardless just in case something happens. I do that for any game that I put a wicked amount of hours into. Especially Bethesda because their games are known for game breaking issues at times so. Just copy your saves to a flash drive and your fine man. I def made sure I read all of that too. Really hope I get picked...I'd play the fuck out of some Dawnguard beta. Hell yeah. |

|

Forum Posts: 190 | Comment #80 by ash356 Monday, June 04, 2012 @ 08:04:50 AM
@79 It's a fair enough price. This isn't likely to be a small DLC, by any means - likelihood is that it's going to be quite an expansive area, akin to the Shivering Isles - and that was 2400! As a result, I would be more than content to pay this price... wish they added new skills and stuff though, was kind of saddened there wasn't any 'Fletching' skill for Archers in the main game :/ |
|

Forum Posts: 190 | Comment #81 by Magus 0f Zeal Monday, June 04, 2012 @ 09:02:58 AM
| I'm positive this DLC will be substantial. I worry slightly that it will only provide 150-250 GS. Not that big of a deal but if they are thinking about maxing the game, which they haven't done with past games, we might be looking at $60 or more for DLC. That's if the price trend of 1600MSP continues. If so I'll probably wait until the GOTY is released as I already have the CE and would hate to pay $200 for one game. When you buy at least one game a month and they are usually collector's editions you sometimes must pick and choose. |
|

Forum Posts: 90 | Comment #82 by resevil239 Tuesday, June 05, 2012 @ 03:43:04 PM
| there is no price trend of 1600 msp. The only reason it costs that much is because it will be bigger. Unlike other companies Bethesda prices things reasonably according to content (Oblivion DLC excluded, particularly because they didn't know what they were doing with pricing at that time). In an E3 interview, todd howard said they are already working on other DLC, but not all of them will be as big or expensive as dawnguard. |
