You call this Tomb Raider?
Better call it Resident Raider.I still wonder why rebooting it to survival horror,since the last 3 games made from Crystal Dynamics were successful.
Changes are huge and if you cant understand it,its like taking Halo and rebooting it to a platform game.
Im also ready for the thumbs down. |

| this is just horrible. seriously why is most games turning from the routes instead some generic action..... Seriously some of us want to play classic Lara. This looks nothing like her, the cutscenes are too serious. Shes always supposed to be a bit of a flirt even when you was young, this completly ignores everything lara croft was about, she barely even does any 'tomb raiding' sheesh. |

New Lara Croft will be great like Original Lara Croft. But as long as new Tomb Raider turn out to be great. But I am believe will be great.

survival horror action adventure.i like it.
@27 yeah i also liked uncharted but could never get intoe the 2nd or 3rd.
tried a couple of tomb raider games on xbox and didnt really like them so much.this one looks really good though. |

@15 Because after the first 2 games in the series, the rest were pretty bad. That is why you reboot a franchise and change the game around. There's a reason most Tomb Raider games are ignored when they are released. This however has the potential to actually be a AAA title. Much to my surprise, it actually looks good.
You can call it an Uncharted clone all you want, but Uncharted's sales put the Tomb Raider series to shame. There's a reason for that. They're good. Hopefully, this game won't disappoint. |

| Calling this a prequel screams franchise reboot. Looks good for the series, because even though I have played all the previous titles the controls where always clunky. This could be exactly what Tomb Raider needs. |

Surprised that they spoiled so much of the storyline in that trailer given that the game is still 9 months away.
Personally I think its funny that so many people who "hate Tomb Raider" love the look of this game, and then wonder why alot of people that do like Tomb Raider are complaining about it.
Imagine if Square Enix released a trailer for a new First Person Shooter and called it "Final Fantasy" - you're saying you wouldn't be surprised to see some Call of Duty fans commenting with "I normally hate Final Fantasy but this game looks amazing" and at the same time Final Fantasy fans saying "WTF is this?"
This game has virtually no resemblance to previous Tomb Raiders at all, aside from the fact the main character is named Lara Croft. To me it feels like Square Enix were too scared to release this title as its own IP so they renamed the character Lara Croft and called it Tomb Raider.
I don't see how this can "reboot" the series as it looks to be a one off - unless of course this really is Tomb Raider's new direction and all of Lara's future explorations are going to be just as tragic requiring her to spend most of her time "surviving" rather than actually exploring, treasure hunting or (dare I say it) Tomb Raiding. |
