Oh fuck,I just came.
I remember playing this back in the day on my gaming pc.Graphics were incredible at the time.My friends swore by the xbox 180 version till I showed them mine and they were sick.But this'll be the bomb!!! |

Question is... is this the PC version of Doom 3 or that crappy edited version from the original Xbox? They had to shorten and edit the levels so it could play on the Xbox.
I guess if they're including Resurrection of Evil AND new levels, it's the PC version.
Nice they're adding a flashlight! And achievements! Are the Doom 1 and 2 going to be the XBLA versions with achievements? Sucks that I already have them, but would be good for people who don't. |

My prayers have been answered! Still got it on PC, still got it on original xbox and soon will have it again for my 360! I will happily get a 1000GS on this if it is retail even if it includes achievements for Doom 1 & 2 I'll play them again.
They still seem to be missing Final Doom on the arcade. Would like to see that become available. Could just play it on PC but would be nice to get me some achievements with it. |

I remember people saying the scares were cliché, resulting in not being scary.
Things like that have the opposite effect on me, if I knew a scare was coming, I literally jump 5ft higher than when it's unexpected.
That said, a mounted flashlight is just about the stupidest thing they could've introduced in a game like this. I am smelling casualitis (I can't see and shoot at the same time, BAAAWWW)... I hope you can still play it like it was supposed to, flashlight OR gun.

I still have Doom 3 in the steelbook and RoE for the original xbox. I remember getting the the collector's edition because it included the original Doom/Doom 2 and Ultimate Doom games, only to have the same content be included with RoE.
I'll miss having to switch from flashlight to weapon in Doom 3, that made the game more tense...RoE if I remember had a mounted flashlight, I remember it being pretty easy and short.
As far a remastered, the game doesn't look that much different, textures may be a bit smoother. I'll probably end up getting it anyways. Doom 3 was awesome, now lets get to work on Doom 4!!! |

Finally!!! Loved DOOM 3 and it is one of best games in 2005 (aside it is Xbox version) and best DOOM series. So I will preorder it straight forward once they confirm full date in this Autumn.
Make bit sense they bring DOOM 3 back again for this generation consoles with load of adds while they working in DOOM 4 for next generation consoles that make me guess now cos they mention DOOM 4 in developing before. :):)
Look forward earn achievements for DOOM 3. :) |

Never really gave this a chance when it was released on regular Xbox.
Now that its digitally remastered I think I'll give it a go.
I did play all previous doom games and loved them.
I think I was just lost in Halo and Rainbow Six games when Doom 3 originally came out. |

| @55 Not necessarily the Metal Gear Solid HD collection came with three Metal Gear games Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear 3, and Metal Gear Solid Peace walker and what they did with that is they made up a 1000 G achievement list splitting the achievements between MG 2 and 3. And then they gave MGS Peace Walker its own 1000 G achievement list so they might do that. But my money is on them giving you Doom 1 200 G, Doom 2 200 G, and Doom 3 Remastered 1000 G. |

| Hells yeah Doom 3 is back! Never played Doom 3 but I heard a lot of things about it all of it good or great hells yeah ID software knows hot to make a Badass First Person Shooter if you need any proof of that play this, Rage, or Quake hell yeah I love it when they bring back old Classics and improve the graphics, give them achievements, and throw in extra content. So far among really awesome remakes we have: the Crysis 1 remake 4 consoles, RES 4 HD, Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, Metal Gear HD collection, and now this its an epic way to relive old classics by achievement hunting on them. As awesome as this is the remake I really want is Halo 2 bring that back with updated graphics and achievements would be so epic. But this is Badass to can't wait! |

| Meh Doom 3 really wasn't as great as the original games. Even the developer John Carmack or whatever said it was to dark. Still seems like they should focus on Doom 4. I don't see the point of this to be honest. |

| The gun/flaslight switch, although making the game intense always seemed stupid, understandable when using a 2 hand weapon eg shotgun, but a pistol? Makes you wonder what he was doing with the free hand... lol sure this will sell and im happy for ppl who are looking forward to this but there's just too much stuff coming out, lollipop chainsaw, sleeping dogs, hitman.. won't have time for this. |

| Hell YEAH. This is def a launch day purchase for me. at least they give us something to hold us off until they give us more info on Doom 4. Can Not wait for this. |

| Hold on after it said "Includes All New Levels" It showed that one demon or whatever it was jumping down and it really reminded me of Pinkie after he was infected and mutated in the Doom movie back in 2005 so are the new levels maybe tying into the movie somehow? Just a thought either way the new levels are gonna be welcome addition to an already stacked amount of content looking forward to this wonder if they'll be anything at E3 next week on it guess we will see... |

That's pretty awesome, I was actually wondering if they'd do this haha. Though I kind of wish it was an Arcade game (I'm assuming it's gonna be retail).. I wouldn't want to spend 50 dollars on Doom 3 again. ;[ But we'll see.
Still I wanna play this definitely. I do kinda wish they added flashlights to the guns though instead of the player's armor.. I dunno why but it seems more real and cool when the lights are on the gun, haha. |

Flashlight or weapon? WHO CARES? DOOM3 is coming to the 360....I gotta have it-and from the end of the trailer i'd say defo retail-I am interested in the price however,i just hope its reasonably priced although because of the fan-base and franchise pedigree the price could be higher than it should be for a re-make.£20-£25 tops and i'm in HELL!

| As one who played Doom 3 at a friend's and then skipped cause flashlight switching didn't make the game intense, it made it monotonous and annoying, I approve this new version. And the fact that Doom and Doom 2 are also a part makes me glad I didn't buy the two from XBLA. |

| I don't understand I got really excited about Doom 3 being remade in my first comment #92 and I get down-voted for expressing my enthusiasm about Doom 3 BFG and other remakes? Why? Do some people have something against being excited or do they have something against playing remade games? Seriously some people down-vote for the most silly reasons on this site. Now if its something like #8 that makes sense or but number 22 asked if it was retail or Arcade and he got down-voted like WTF? Why are people so overly critical on this site? |
