| Didn't x360a have this as an anticipated game back in 2011 lol? I'm starting to think this is never going to see the light of day. It looks awesome, so I hope someday it will be released. |

| Hey Take-Two I'll never buy Enemy Unknown. I know all the RTS fanboys are gonna eat me up for this, but XCOM was a must buy for me. Now that the ppl that played the game in the 90s want to get there panties in a wad because yall didn't keep it a RTS game. Yall are running with ur tails between ur legs and letting a great looking title die because ur scared. Well to finish I have no intentions on buying Enemy Unknown and will pass on XCOM if it gets pushed back beyond 2013. |

I don't think this will be canned. Granted, it has had a fair amount of delays so far, but hopefully it'll pay off. The fact that lot of people on here are complaining about trailers ad screenshots suggest that there is definitely work to be done here.
Plus, if you look at it, there are games that have been delayed for years and have turned out great. Didn't Alan Wake take like, 7 years? And if i remember, Max Payne 3 was originally scheduled for Winter 2009, and both those games turned out great, so let's keep the faith guys... |

I'm really hoping it's NOT going to be cancelled.
I thought this looked really interesting and that it could be damn great. It has a good vibe about it, the style seems cool (e.g. time period, interactions, etc.).
So I'm really, really hoping they get the ball rolling on this. |

Simply because rumorly GTA V is releasing this year, so they don't want their game to eat sales + it's better to release games in different quarters for good report.
I'm quite sure it will get delayed once more becasue of Bioshock Infinte

| Yeah looked to be close to completion a year ago, I remember their being an upcoming feature for it on the dashboard. Surely its in their interests to release it somehow even if its at a cut-down price via xbl which would give them a far less expensive advertising production costs bill. |

So the FPS Xcom has been pushed back to 2014..
BUT
The Xcom made by fraxis which stick close to the original game systems is still set to be released in October this year..
ooooooh well hopefully this FPS copy paste cash in sinks and dies like the vile afterbirth it is. |

| I have a feeling they're just pushing it back so that Enemy Unknown draws more interest in the series itself. Old school players like myself who remember the original Xcom are dying in anticipation of Enemy Unknown and from early previews it seems like a good enough game to draw in the audience who has no idea what its about. If Enemy Unknown does really well that only helps out the FPS version. I was kind of on the fence about the FPS version but when I heard they were releasing a true to form Xcom game I started to get more interested in the FPS... |

| Has anyone told them that you don't usually have a good quarter when you don't release any games. Anyways I am really looking forward to this game. I saw a trailer for it a while back that looked incredible. I have no interest in the Fraxis XCOM. |

I hope this FPS gets cancelled ultimately or at least rebranded as something else apart from x-com. Everything about the xcom FPS is bizarre right down to the handful if really angry babies popping up on game sites after this latest pushback (like #11) saying almost the exact same things about how this delay 'ruined' the game, they're not buying it now, and then blaming people who rightfully were bashing the X-com reboot over how silly it looks and how off base it is from its legacy (here's a secret: all these problems would have been avoided if you never called it Xcom)
The problem is more than just not being a turn based strategy game. 50's era feds fighting aliens that are black blobs and post-modern art? Hey, lets name it after that old game where you fight aliens. Surely nobody who considers the old games will have a problem with any of this. |
