It's probably a Male Quarian, I myself had always wondered why one of the Quarians was not a Male, also what is a Phoenix in terms of Mass Effect?
Maybe Phoenix is a Prothean & there trying to keep it a secret? Who knows, fingers crossed that this DLC is free as well but some how I doubt it:( |

| I remember bioware saying that they wouldn't ever put multiplayer dlc achievements in the game (sorry no source). Won't necessarily stop them charging for it tho. Assassins creed 2's cut chapters were released with no achievements but you still had to pay for each episode. |

| @13: During the summer, they're releasing the Extended Cut of the ending. Single-player DLC wouldn't really make much sense unless it takes place before the ending, though. |

@15 Well as you can play the ME2 DLC at any point in the game that's what I was thinking. They can easily add missions like they did with the Shadow Broker, hell I don't even care if you dont play as Sheppard, they could do something like Dead Space 2 did.
I'm really not interested in a different ending or multiplayer DLC, it gets boring pretty quickly. I'm sure thet must have something else up their sleeves unless all this ending nonsense is draining their resources. |

i play as a quarian infiltator most of the time.. why do i need another one... lets hope its a typo and they ment TURIAN infiltrator

Chris Priestly has already confirmed that this is not true over on the Bioware forums.

havnt played this since i completed it, the multiplayer is wayyyyyyyy to boring so this will not be a go for me.
it would be nice to finally get the "different ending" or whatever it was they were supposively working on.

| The two new quarian characters are male, which is the difference between the ones already in the game. As for the phoenix, it's possible that it could be the Raloi, a new species mentioned breifly in Mass Effect 2 and 3. They are known to be a space-faring "avian" (hence "Phoenix") species from the planet Turvess that more than likely had to battle the Reapers. In an attempt to not get noticed as intelligent life, they returned to Turvess shortly after first contact with other life and destroyed all their ships and satellites. |

| Mass Effect MP is so repetitive. Can only play one or two rounds before it becomes boring. Give me some single player DLC, you know, for the REAL game. I need something to wash that bad taste from my mouth after going through the ending. |

This game is not only a complete waste of time to play (endure) online, but it is also suicide-inducing via the sheer tedium of "surviving" the same fucking enemy "sets" over and over and over again.
No thanks, Even Horde 2.0 with it's lack of Public Horde and Marcus-only join in progress is better because at least you get any enemy spawning to kill you rather than these extremely limited sets. |

| I was told by a friend of mine that has a family member that works for Bioware that there is new MP DLC incoming soon but the class types are way different then described here. The Vorcha maybe true but the new DLC is supposed to bring tank like characters to the playing field like a geth prime and even a smaller version of the atlus as playable characters. This may not be true either but it is more believable than the introduction of a new species into multiplayer. I've played the entire series multiple times and don't remember anything about bird like aliens called phoenix. Either this is a code name for something else or they weren't memorable enough to matter. |

| As others have stated, Phoenix most likely refers to Protheans. Not only that, but Protheans were talented biotics so it would make sense for them to be adepts and vanguards. |

Ugh..! I hate the ME3 multiplayer I'd rather just spend "X" amount of Microsoft points to buy the races. I might be in the minority but spending two days trying to unlock a Geth with a crappy trading card RNG system is pure ridiculousness and not fun in the slightest.
