@3 Rushed based on....what, exactly? The staggering amount of info we have? Or is it the hundreds of screenshots? Maybe the gameplay trailers? Oh, wait... Anyway, if you want to have a valid and reasonable complaint, look at 6 & 7. Their concerns are based in reality, at least the little bit we think we know. Either way, I will buy it and I'm sure most of you will too. |

Not this again... Dead Space was completely awesome. Dead Space 2 was a very, very good game, but I wasn't as afraid as I was playing the first game, not by a long shot. TRUE FEAR is what I'm feeling right now, wondering what the hell are these guys going to do with one of my favorite series. I have a bad feeling about this... |

| I haven't played much of the Dead Space series but I've really enjoyed what I have played of it. Adding in co-op where it's not needed?! I really do not think this will help the game in any way and by the sounds of it, Dead Space 3 is just going to be morphing into a generic action shooter. I sort of liked the restrictions that Issac had with regards to his abilities to roll, crotch etc. |

Sounds like their going down the resident evil route. Nothing wrong with that but i think the game will lose what makes it special. I kinda have this feeling that the addition of the cover system and the human enemies is the basis for a bullshit competitive mulitplayer mode. You know design the multiplayer game first then tack on a bullshit 5 hour single player campaign played on the multiplayer maps. Don't F**k this up EA. |

| Interesting. As long as they don't lose the horror, like Resident Evil did, I'm fine with this. Resident Evil 5 didn't need shitty controls to be scary (see Resident Evil 4), it just needed the atmosphere. They lost the mood, and just threw stupid zombies at you, and didn't allow for any tension. Ammo was plentiful, and you could just buy healing items with the overabundance of money you could earn. So long as they keep the "survivor" aspect of survivor horror, things will be fine. People cry doomsday too often. |

How can people complain when there has been no content shown to us, nor has this even been confirmed as anything other than rumours? Yes, I'm not completely happy if this information turns out to be true either, but I want to hear from the developers before I whinge like a baby and decide not to buy it. The cover system would probably only be used when fighting humans, the necromorphs aren't exactly going to wait there while you chop off legs. The other information about co-op etc. is something else you can't dismiss right away. Assassin's Creed introduced multiplayer and its better than the single player when it comes to being an Assassin. FEAR 3 introduced co-op and it probably improved the sales more than any other FEAR game in the last few years. I'm surprised no one has started referring that stupid internet poll about EA. They aren't the best company and I've said that more than most, but that doesn't mean you should rule out every game they publish. |

Drop in co-op in the campaign? Well that screws it for me. Survival horror and co-op isn't a good mix imo. For it to work I think they should have a separate co-op campaign, so at least you can experience the main bulk of the game without feeling that you're not getting the most out of your experience because your friends aren't playing with you. Resident Evil 5 for example feels incomplete if you play solo. |

This is a must buy for me. But, as much fun I can see the co-op being, having a co-op partner completely takes the horror element out of it. I want to fear for my life as I'm about to get ripped to shreds and restart from a checkpoint, not have my buddy jump in and save me at the last minute. And adding soldiers to fight against, is just going to make it feel like another TPS. Why can't developers pitch their ideas about new features to sequels to the community and let us decide what will make the game better and more exciting. Don't want to start an argument but I'm sure the COD series would be a lot better off and have less hatred against it if this was implemented. |

This is shocking! It seems EA again has managed to shit all over another amazing franchise. Dead Space 3 does not need co op and it definitely doesn't need human enemies with guns and grenades? You'd have thought from the sheer fan reaction from RE series this wouldn't happen. I don't understand how a company like EA can ignore 90% of the fan base for their games. It really is amazing how ignorant and oblivious they are. |

I think these features are awesome if they are true. I mean if it has Issac Clarke in it. And it is set in the future. And he is using mining tools as weapons. And he is fighting for his life against reanimated bodies brought to life by a space virus, it is still a Dead Space game. Plus the idea of human enemies is pretty cool. Especially if its true they can become necromorphs. I heard about something called the Hive Mind that wil be in DS3. And this article mentions a skyscraper sized Necromorph. Dead Space 1 final boss again? That is pretty sweet. |

For my two cents, the only reservation I have is about the co-op, and only because Fear 3 really tried to kill the series by forcing the co-op option. Yeah, I like the rumored/supposed idea behind why there would be co-op, but please don't penalize me because I may choose to not have someone play the game with me. I prefer single-player experiences, don't take away from that to push your co-op marketing plan. That's also why I disliked Portal 2, and most any other title with the name "Valve" on the cover; games that are made to be played with other people, and feel lacking if you only play the single-player option. Hopefully, EA can find some kind of a balance with it for Dead Space 3, much like, surprisingly, Lionhead was able to pull off with Fable 2 and Fable 3. Heck, even TimeSplitters: Future Perfect is a good example of how to do co-op without compromising the story content--you see the same cinematics and get the same exact experience whether it's a human or an AI with you. All in all, the news excites me, and I'm eager for more in-depth news, so we have something more substantial than internet rumors and gamer/fan speculation. |

RIP dead space I can only hope this game and future entries either get back on track or get poor reviews, sell badly and slide into obscurity. It would be the only thing that makes goddamn EA realize they can't fuck with great, unique games just to further line their pockets. Seriously, what do EA think will happen by making DS more like gears of war/other popular games? The fans will hate it and the audience that likes the games EA are trying to copy will just keep playing those games-lose/lose scenario. BTW I'm all for a co-op if it were a separate mode like a more objective/story based horde mode that could have stasis/kinesis puzzles and bosses designed for 2 or more players. Drop in co-op is just lazy when many games are now featuring 2 distinct campaigns e.g. portal 2 |

Dead Space 1 was the survival horror I found myself wanting after playing through Resident Evil 5. It restored my faith in that devs were still willing to make scary non action oriented games after the RE series veered away from the roots of scares over action. Dead Space 2, I liked it. Not as much as the first, but liked it. But I dont like the direction they seem to be going here. |

Wow, they are really going out of their way to try and wreck this franchise, aren't they? They took a look at their franchise and said, "Okay, we've got this survival horror game that can be legitimately scary at times and it's actually selling very nicely, especially for the genre, which is becoming more and more barren by the year... Let's give you a buddy to watch your back so you can feel nice and safe. Also, we don't have enough shooters out there, so let's let you roll around, probably add a cover system, and let you fight some soldiers so things don't get too intense; we gotta the player nice and comfortable. ... Because nothing is as immersive as seeing a big old notification at the top of the screen, reading: "xXxSn1perMC420xXx has joined the game." /sarcasm |

| This bums me out. Dead Space is a great franchise and I see it going in the wrong dirrection. If they wanted to make a sci-fi FPS why dont they just come up with a IP. Dont take something that many people thought was a unique game experience and change it into something its not. I really liked the first game, it scared me quite a bit. The second one was an awesome game as well, but it did not scare me nearly as much as the first game. Then there was the multiplayer which I never played at all. I think what this all has to do with is trying to make the game as profitable as they possibly can by tacking on components for which the series is not known for (Multiplayer, Co-Op, Action Focused, Less Horror/Survival). These companies need to change how they look at the market, nad I can sum it up with how people argue if games are art or not. Does the "true" artist change his painting in order to sell more paintings (Please dont compare "true"artists to starving artists). So with video games if they want to be considered art, they need to quit worrying about how many units they ship. If they develop a quality product that is true to its origins then the selling games part will take care of itself. I know money makes the gaming world go round, but I would love to find a company that stays true to its origins and is successfull. Maybe bungie? Who knows? |

Honestly making the game with more action is the only path they can take here. DS2 had a good few spooks but I wasn't hugging my knees like DS1. That's mainly do to the fact that I knew what I was in for this time around. I got spooked from time to time in DS2 but there was more action & much better for it as a whole trilogy. It's time for Isaac to say FUCK ALL YA ALL & go beat the shit out of some Necromorphs... & some humans too. As for Co-op I think they could pull it off, Dead Space 3 CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Devolving good genre original games into more casual, accessable, action oriented shooter centric campaigns in an attempt at chasing after those fabled Call of Duty sales figures and cashing in on a greater piece of that pie. Why cant they just be happy and satisfied that they make an awesomely good pumkin pie instead of trying to make a generic apple pie? EA: Where Unique Games good aspects go to die. |

I agree with everyone hating the Co Op,loved the first two games but what made them great EA are going to just ruin with co op. Dead Space is about getting your Turtle Beach headphones on sitting in a dark room and enjoying the tense situation your lone character has gotten into, its not a Gears co op cover shooter.Just like Mass Effect 3 didn't need multiplayer Dead Space dosnt need stupid Co Op. They should just call it Space Shooter. |

| And if they didn't change anything, everyone would still whine and complain. |

| Wow, I was so looking forward to another scary masterpiece and it sounds like DS will turn into action game in hald the time it took Resident Evil to make that huge leap... That is sad news for me=( |

| I like co-op but I also dislike it. With co-op it'll be easier and funner to play, but with Co-op I feel the atmosphere in Dead Space will be gone, I like the scares in the game and playing with another guy, won't make it as scary, since I know theres a guy with me, I am not by myself. |

| I HAVE BOUGHT THE FIRST 2 DEAD SPACE GAMES AND AFTER READING THIS WILL NEVER BUY THIS ONE!! WILL DEVELOPERS EVER LEARN THAT NOT ALL GAMERS NEED TO HAVE SOMEONE HOLDING THERE HAND THROUGHOUT A CAMPAIGN. NICE WAY TO FUCK UP A FRANCHISE EA!!! |

| Isaac's not a soldier, so why is he going to be rolling around into cover? If nothing else, wouldn't that suit pretty much break his back? |

| WOW, I hope the "adding humans with guns and grenades" means there gonna be adding "LAS PLAGAS" as well.... cause that worked just awesome in Resident Evil...NOT. If they turn this great series into a GEARS clone then it wont even be a rental... it'll be a borrow from the dumb friend who got suckered into buying it. |

| I despise this generation of gaming. It seems that every time a game comes out that is overall outstanding, unique, and sells a fair amount, they go and totally turn it upside down. Every game that starts out amazing with each sequel strives to be generic and appeal to the all out shooter crowd. Its as if there is 3 million people who want a dead space horror game and triple that in COD fans who want nothing but FPS. They will go and cater to the larger crowd every....single....time. How does that make sense and when will devs get it through their thick skulls its not going to work. Tell me, how many of these games have actually been successes for trying to rip off and cash in o nthe COD GOW buzz? NONE, yet here they are still....trying to make every single game the same exact crap. EA just happens to be the worst at this...having no second thoughts to totally gut an amazing game with a following in hopes of selling more...and %99 of the time still failing to sell more...then going furhter in the fail direction. |

| I have never been a fan of the Survival Horror genre or horror movies or anything horror for that matter but I guess what they say is true the Survival Horror genre really is dead but there is a reason for that people want Gears of War and Uncharted style action games why do you think both franchises outsell the likes of Dead Space, Silent Hill, or F.E.A.R. And I mean no offense to you guys when I say that but for now Action is what people want don't worry Survival Horror will make a comeback eventually genres that border on being done completely always make a comeback sooner or later. But for now I feel your pain. Might be a while till Survival Horror makes a comeback. Anyways I like the look of this game except maybe the imaginary Alter-Ego that sounds kind of weird but hey it has to have some kind of twisted elements to it otherwise they might as call it Gears of Dead Space or Uncharted Dead Space. Still looks worth picking up. |

This game is starting to sound more like Lost Planet than Dead Space. An Icy world+Giant Monsters with glowing weakpoints+ Third Person Shooter+ Co-op= Lost Planet eh okay then... |

About 95% of these comments are people saying how dissapointed they are. Personally, I'm optimistic. Dead Space is my favorite game franchise of all time, play it almost everyday. I'm an achievement hunter, and have them all for Dead Space 1, 2, and Ignition. I have 50 completed games total. Anyways, once this game comes out, if it truly is co-op, I'm gonna need a partner. I'm on every single day for most the day. If anyone's interested in achieving it up with me, send me a friend request and message to GT: TheMinotaurFlip. Together we can experience this hopefully great as the others game and get these achievements done. Hope you know what you're doing, EA! |

| The funny thing is I haven't played games I a long time and picked up dead space 2 recently and then sat and wondered why there isn't a co-op feature so I can play it through a second time with a friend and actually enjoy it some more... Coming across all of you trolls have not discouraged me from looking forward to DS3 and I am very happy with the thought of EA trying something new, because let's face it, if you guys got a game exactly like DS1 (which you are nagging for) you would still bitch and moan because then it will still be a copy... So shut the fuck up, get the game, go suck on your mom's tits and after all that's done complain about the fucking game... |
