South Park: The Game Becomes South Park: The Stick of Truth

According to an updated Xbox.com Marketplace page, it appears as if THQ and Obsidian's South Park RPG has been rebranded and even got itself a piece of cover art in the process.

Ladies and gents, from this moment forward the unoriginal South Park: The Game name has been thrown to the wolves and the new name, South Park: The Stick of Truth, has emerged as the new victor.

What that means, we're not quite sure yet, but we assume - and we're clutching at straws here - it has something to do with a stick that makes people tell the truth. Sherlock would have been proud!

If it was a fishy stick of truth, we could have busted out the infamous "Do you like fish sticks?" line. Good job it isn't, I guess, as Kanye would probably have killed us. He's a regular around here, apparently... okay, he isn't. What's with the Spanish inquisition!?

That's about it though, folks. No new info, no new screens, just a name and some box art. Whether you think it's newsworthy or not, the truth remains: I was sat here waiting for a video interview to upload and I was bored.

Now that's proper journalism! Or should that be jernalisms?

So pumped for this, though the show for me stopped being funny after season 4. I must admit, there are some funny episodes here and there, but the only time I catch it is when I'm waiting for my hour of Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert, or when I leave my TV on after they've come on.

South park as interpreted by an idiot: a show where this one kid dies constantly, and they swear and go on stupid adventures.

South Park as interpreted by someone of intelligence: A show riddled with political humor and jokes at societies expense, effectively making one of the greatest adult cartoons ever made.

So funny!! Let hope this South Park gonna better then TV programme series. :):)

I like South Park tv series and make me laughing too much because characters are funny, rude and swears and crazy arguement and stuffs like that. One of best Comedy toon tv series along Looney Tunes, The Simpsons and Family Guy series those 4 are my favourite comedy cartoon TV series.

I don't care if bad so if do then go for achievements so if good then I will keep game for while because game is good. :):)

In the game, I want to have to go searching for a guitar string or other musical stuff for the band Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld. Then bring it to them and have a jam along. In the process, Stan's sister would kick Cartman's ass once more.
Yeah I want that to happen in the game story.

I find RPG games soooo boring, but South Park (and Beavis and Butthead) totally kick ass; so, after watching gameplay, I might pick it up, I'm prone to it.

The thing I like about South Park is that it has been on T.V. for years and it has only gotten better as time has progressed. Most comedies get worse and worse until they ultimately just give up. I can not wait for this game.

@6 I find it funny that you call a studios games a "glitchfest" and then say they are a second rate Bethesda, the studio with some of the glitchiest games made.

#42 ill agree with you about skyrim having glitches, luckily none of mine were gamebreaking, where as I had zero problems with fallout 3 and oblivion. New Vegas was so glitches for me I returned it and I didn't fare much better with alpha protocol. Just lost faith in obsidian, since there track record is much worse than bethesdas.
