With DiRT Showdown preparing to get all messy next month, what with its destruction derbies and all, Codemasters has unveiled the game's complete 46 track music list, which features tunes from the likes of Rise Against, Nero, The Treatment, Templeton Pek and Far Too Loud.

That's a lot of music to be smashing and crashing to, which should hopefully make the newly introduced demolition derby bits even more thrilling. There's hoonigan too for DiRT 3 fans, meaning you can still perform incredible drifting driving feats if you want to.

RISE AGAINST.

Might just have my iPod going with Rise Against so I don't have to listen to the rest of the rubbish.

sorry for the second post , but having a playlist like this straight away ages your game.This is just as bad as a EA games title , they seem to forget that in sport its a mixture of old and new that is used.Many a rugby match i have been to , i have heard a 80s track to celebrate a try or goal kick .The BBC F1 show is headed by a Fleetwood Mac classic , but these sport games seem to think that concentrating on the slightly yesterday of music is key?

That'd be nice but don't think it's an option #15.....unless you just turn the sound down and play your own cd's (yes I'm old and still own loads of cd's)

One of the best things about Gran Turismo 5 was the option to use your own music in the game

You know that you can play your own music on xbox since years? If you don't like, just play your own per USB or CD or whatever.

Far Too Loud and Wolfgang Gartner FTW

And don't worry guys for dubstep. The list contains a mix of Rock, Electro, Drum and Bass. The only dubstep artist is (for my knowledge) Nero. I just want to say, that you can normally enjoy these songs.

That Nero innocence remix should be awesome. Can't believe people are acknowledging we are the ocean actually exist. They are seriously ripping off Alexisonfire and deserve nobodys time or money.

Good to see local bands getting exposure. First time I heard of The Parlor Mob, they were opening for Alice in Chains a few years ago in Jersey. Good for them to make the soundtrack of an Xbox 360 game. Always a huge accomplishment.

People see one dubstep artist and think that the whole soundtrack is going to be shitty. You just love to jump on the nearest bandwagon don't you?

@2

What do you listen to then?

@28 jumping on the nearest bandwagon seems to be the mission of all these games.Other than games set in a certain time period ,when have you heard a proper mix of tunes?
I like a bit of dubstep , just as much as i like bit of country or classical.It would be good for games to actually treat music like films do, Saints Row 3 recently made some excellant usage of songs that actually improved the missions and made for a more complete experience(just a pity the rest of the game was ....lacking)

This song list just looks like an EA title song list, nothing wrong about it but is just trying too hard and is slightly out of date. Im probably too old to understand this modern music thingy , but would you hear any of these songs on a TV montage of motorsport?

Pretty sure I'm getting old. I've heard of one of these groups,(Rise Against)and I don't like them. I'll give it a shot though, they could put the worst country or tween music in here and I'd still buy it. Love Dirt!

I was talking about the hate bandwagon for Dubstep. The people want to do it just because its the cool thing to do and they have nothing more to hate on.

@33

Prove me wrong. The only time a soundtrack should matter for a purchase is if you are buying a music game.

Also, I didn't mean it in a negative way either. I hadn't heard of nearly ANYTHING on Midnight Club 3 when I made the purchase, but it had a really great and varied soundtrack that I wound up liking an awful lot. You don't buy a racing game for it's soundtrack, you buy it for the racing. A good soundtrack is just a perk.
