| @Roza: I guess it depends on where you're at. I know a decent lot of the older games (2005-2007ish) are no longer available in many retail stores these days. For instance, I wanted to buy The Orange Box last summer but it was NOWHERE to be found in my area. I had to order it online instead - they sent me the Platinum Edition within a week. |

@7 I guess. I got mine off a friend for £5 about 2 years ago, only bought it for Quake II really.
I'm just surprised. I see it all over the place, albeit used and going for £8 but I never knew it was hard to get. |

If they re-issue it in June, maybe they will reset the leaderboards to make the achievement a little more reasonable to obtain. THAT would be great.
Also, not sure what they mean by hard to find. I agree with #5, every Gamestop I go in has multiple copies and they are very cheap, typically around US$5. |

I agree with #5, It might be hard to find a new copy but everytime I go into Gamestop or a local gaming store they've got like 4 or 5 used copies of it for like ten bucks.
OT: I might pick this up, never got a chance to play it when it came out and for twenty bucks I'm not loosing out on too much money if I don't like it. |

Apparently I'm the only one who thinks this is a good thing? I like to see companies print a few more copies of a game that can be hard to find. It keeps older games from sky-rocketing in price and possibly brings more fans to the franchise.
I remember when Disgaea for PS2 was $100 on ebay o_O Given, I did pick up 2 copies at gamestop for $45 and resell them....but its insane. Eventually they reprinted them, letting people who were reasonable get a shot at the game.
I'm not saying this game did the same, but nonetheless its nice to see a developer reprint an old game when it gets scarce. $20 is fair, as you rarely see any "new" game under that. Sure ebay is cheaper...but its cheaper on everything. Some people still don't trust the internet (the whole Sony thing didn't help), so Ebay and GoD aren't an option for them.
Either way, kudos to Bethesda. Its not like this game is in that great of demand, so its clearly not a quick money-making scheme. Thanks for listening to the fans. |

I personally would prefer a newer, less tedious achievement list. I remember no one liked the original version's achievements, not to mention they were largely glitched.
But... something tells it will have the same achievements. I don't really see why they would change them, to be perfectly honest. I hope I'm wrong. |

I actually got lucky and bought a sealed copy of this on 360 at one of my local Hollywood Videos when it was in the process of closing down. My only reason for buying this sealed was that it came with a 360 port of Quake 2 which had kicked a lot of ass.
As for Quake 4 itself, the 360 port has a lot of frame rate issues, so it might run somewhat slowly. But nevertheless it's a great game and I'm with #23 who is also glad that someone is showing respect for older out of print game titles (unlike EA with NFS Most Wanted which is really hard to find on 360). |

why?, was a good game when it came out but not so much anymore and isn't even worth half that price, i can pick up a preowned copy now for £2
Also anyone who likes completion percentage should give it a miss, it's way too hard to get #1 on the leaderboards and boosting the 5000 games takes longer than seriously 3.0 in gears

| It's a great game, I got cheated out of my rank 1 achievement, I was rank 1 on dm with a 200k point lead and gave up because ppl kept doing the ctf glitch which in turn kept them ahead on the overall, it's a great game for a competitive and skilled gamer as there's no aim assist and such but an average cod player wouldn't respect it due to the reflexes and accuracy required to win, easier to camp with a claymore than use skills, that being said il take my rightful rank if the boards reset and the glitch is fixed, if this don't happen then it's a bad move releasing this unless your plugging a quake 5 real soon |

Quake 2 is on a separate disc from Quake 4. It's labeled as a "Bonus Disc" that also has some behind-the-scenes featurettes as well as a other content and trailers. But, it is a separate disc.
I kept the bonus disc and made case artwork for it when I sold my Quake 4. It's actually pretty good looking, just as if you bought Quake 2 off the shelf. |

| This is a prime example of why video game companies are failing. I can go pick this up at gamestop used for $4.99 plus it comes with a bonus disc copy of Quake 2. Plus I have an actual physical copy of the game to do with as I please Yet the Digital Download restricted copy of the game without the bonus disc is $19.99? $10 bucks tops. If they hate the used games industry so much stop handing them buisness on a silver platter. I would love to support publishers I love but I always feel like they are boning me. |

| I was able to pick up a used copy of Quake 4 last night in it's original case for $4.99. I had to check 3 locations by phone but one store had the bonus disc and when I got there they actually gave me two bonus discs. So I may have a spare...I didn't put the other bonus disc in my console yet to see what's on it. |

Jason... you ought to "complete" more of the games you've played, rather than worry about leaderboards. I have a friend who has played less than half of the games you've played, but his gamerscore is nearly 3 times what yours is. Not busting on you, but leaderboards can go away... completed achievements will stay (unless you're caught cheating)!
I'm all for the helping other people with achievements, though!
I bought Quake 4 a long time ago, and was disappointed more with the packaging than the game itself. The bonus disc in a CD envelope?! What... double-disc Xbox game cases hadn't been invented yet? I was lucky enough to acquire an extra double-disc game case a few months later, so the bonus disc could be properly stored in the same case as Quake 4!
I believe the re-release of Quake 4 will be EXACTLY the same as the original release (except for a few label changes). Any patches to the game will come as a required "update" so we ALL can have the same patches - whether you own an original release or the re-release!! |

used at ebgames for 7.99 (cdn). haven't seen a new cheevo list so i assume its still the same.
i still have my dusty original copy on a shelf. add Wilkz07 to play mp. |

At first I thought it was a remake like Halo Anniversary or Doom 3 BFG Edition and thought it was stupid that they'd remake a game on the 360 for the 360...but now that I know that they're simply releasing new copies for people who missed out the first time I can totally get behind this
And I also hope this leads to Quake 5 |
