Ubisoft Dev Team Make Splinter Cell Conviction Reassurances

There have been a lot of rumours flying around recently regarding the upcoming Splinter Cell title. Some reports even suggested that the development team were heading back to the drawing board after months of production. In response to these rumours, one of the Ubisoft Developers recently posted a message on the Ubisoft Community boards reassuring fans that the “development of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction is continuing well and the game is shaping up nicely”. In the same post, UbiRazz states:

There are lots of rumours flying around right now about Conviction's development status and we can tell you that the gameplay has evolved, similar to what happens in every game's development process, and you won't be disappointed.

So there we have it, some news is better than no news eh? I have a sneaking suspicion that the new Splinter Cell will be radically different from what we’re used to... And who said change was bad!?

  • Im hoping for a game similar to before, with the great coop of chaos theory
  • i think there gonna go somewhere completely different with this they need to as splinter cell was in danger of going stale, defo needs a coop overhaul and the live needs so much work as the last few were lame and boring and that was if you got a game at all!!!
  • Oh yeah! I cannot wait for Conviction!
  • This is gonna rock, seriously, Double Agent was amazing, just think of what this is gonna be like. Especially after Assassin's Creed. Stealthy games are awesome, hey, where's Hitman 5????
  • it good they are changing it. it makes the story so much better and brings a new element to the game. this is good news i cant wait for this title
  • I just hope they dont balls this up,
  • Im guess this is going to be abit more 3roam than Double Agent. Wonder how this story is going to pan out.
  • as long as the multiplayer is more like chaos theory and not a major let down like double agent was. then i will love it.
  • I actually forgot about this game. I just hope this is better than that shit sandwich known as double agent
  • I thought double agent had better multiplayer than chaos theory. It seemed more balanced to me.
  • I agree with comment #1 about the co-op. This game might be fun but I have a feeling it's going to be like Assassins Creed with Sam Fisher. I really hope it turns out well or that they go back to the original style with a new game.
  • If I were making a game, I wouldn't be taking time out to discuss rumors. I'd be busy making a game. No wonder the rumors got started to begin with.
  • Conviction is going to be a good game. Ubisoft puts out a lot of quality titles.
  • I just hope "Michael Ironside" Returns as the Voice of Sam. I am such a fan of this Franchise
  • i am stoked,in my opinion this has been my favorite of the clancy games.....STICKY SHOCKERS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Love the SC series, but for me, Chaos Theory was the highlight for its MP, Double Agent was a bit of a let-down. Its singleplayer was great as usual, but the MP wasnt.
  • The single player on the last installment was a big let down. 3vs.3 online was a great addition. But Ubisoft failed with no co-op. CT co-op still stands above most. Bring back co-op Ubisoft!
  • yea i sure hope they bring back the co-op, the mp on chaos theory was awesome...
  • this splinter cell game MIGHT! be good...
  • I can't wait to see how this game turns out.
