@2 This is a completely different company... Anyways, Really not in the UK yet? Weird.Thursday, March 15, 2012 @ 10:54 AM
While this at least gives a real world skill, is it actually more fun than Guitar Hero? I play piano, maybe I'd have enjoyed it more if I got to learn via videogame rather than smelly old woman.Thursday, March 15, 2012 @ 11:12 AM
This game is extremely fun. Not only do you get the satisfaction of actually playing real songs on real guitars, but there are mini arcade games that are not only fun but help you with your positioning and speed in playing. Theres only one major issue that keeps me from playing this game. The sound delay. You hit a string and you hear it a millisecond afterwards in the game making it very hard to be accurate or enjoy playing. It has caused me to put this game down. I have tried many things to fix it but none prevail. I used the recommended set up and it also does not work.Thursday, March 15, 2012 @ 11:16 AM
Im glad We've finally got a set date but september is really a long time to wait, me and my mates were planing on rocking japan in augustThursday, March 15, 2012 @ 12:41 PM
@3. The reason it's not in the UK yet is cause there was a band over there that claimed ownership of the name "Rocksmith". Pretty sure it was scheduled to release with the American version till the whole name dispute came aboutThursday, March 15, 2012 @ 12:52 PM
@3 & 7, I read it was to do with music licensing over hereThursday, March 15, 2012 @ 02:10 PM
I got the ps3 version which is region free september seems an awfully long way away if I had to waitThursday, March 15, 2012 @ 02:21 PM
@8. That's probably part of it too. I know there's at least 1 Nirvana track in the game so I'm sure Ubisoft had to fight tooth and nail with that evil bitch Courtney Love to be able to use the songThursday, March 15, 2012 @ 02:46 PM
how does your guitar connect, i've got a standard electric can i use that?Thursday, March 15, 2012 @ 03:27 PM
i am a real guitarist, and have been playing for over 10 years now. i think this is a great idea it teaches people to play properly but it wont be in depth enough it wont teach you intonaton, keys, scales etc.Thursday, March 15, 2012 @ 03:37 PM
@11. The game comes with a usb cable that has a usb on one end and the other end has a standar 3/4" input jack on it so yes you can use your guitar. As long as it has a standard input jack on it you'll be goodThursday, March 15, 2012 @ 05:03 PM
oh i know what i want for my birthday this year!Thursday, March 15, 2012 @ 05:12 PM
SEP-BLOODY-TEMBER!! Oh man!!! I wanty, I wanty NOWWWWW!!!Thursday, March 15, 2012 @ 06:03 PM
Does the game actually teach you how to play, or does it just mark you on how well you can play the song on there? So someone that has never played a guitar or read music actually gain anything?Thursday, March 15, 2012 @ 06:05 PM
Nevermind, I watched the trailer after typing the message and it answered my question xDThursday, March 15, 2012 @ 06:37 PM
@5 i was reading a review of it ages ago, i think on gamestop or something (hardly anyones reviewed so should be easy to find) that suggested using an external amp and speakers to negate the sound delay. Maybe you could try that.Thursday, March 15, 2012 @ 07:32 PM
Glad to hear it! This game is phenomenal. I've been playing it almost daily. Any friends from Europe want impressions, feel free to message me on XBL.Thursday, March 15, 2012 @ 08:50 PM
Not soon enough, My Buddy in Austrailia Has been waiting for it since last summer. The only gripe I have is it only has local Multiplayer. Come on people, we have been past this for a long time. This is what Live & PSN are for, to play with friends where ever they are in the world. Get with the times.Friday, March 16, 2012 @ 05:30 AM

I have been watching out for this game for what seems like forever. September is a hell of a long way away, but it is great to know it is definitely coming out over here. I was planning on importing the PS3 version as it is region free, but I didn't want to miss out on upcoming DLC. I suppose we will just have to wait. @19 I want impressions, can you do Willie Nelson?Monday, March 19, 2012 @ 07:49 PM

Ubisoft has announced that Rocksmith is finally making its way to the UK. But you’ll have to wait until September 14th.
The music game that eschews plastic peripherals for proper six string guitars, Rocksmith picked up some decent reviews when it launched in North America last October. It’s basically a gameified way to learn to play guitar, with mini-games helping you to move between frets, learn chords, riffs and harmonics. There’s more than 50 tracks to wrap your fingers around too.
The game works with just about any guitar, but special edition bundles will also feature an Epiphone Les Paul Junior guitar.
Ubisoft has also revealed that the UK version of the game will launch with exclusive content, details of which are yet to be revealed.
