Fresh Fantastic Fez Footage

We haven’t covered FEZ much here at X360A and for that we are truly sorry. One of the most interesting titles to come out of the indie scene for some time, it’s a hugely exciting puzzle platforming prospect, with a nifty little manipulation mechanic at its heart.

Created by Phil Fish, whose struggles to bring the game to life are documented in Indie Game: The Movie, FEZ has picked up numerous awards during its creation, including the prestigious Seamus McNally Grand Prize at the recent Independent Games Awards. But now its finally time to prepare to play it.

Below you’ll find around 6 minutes of footage from the game, showing off FEZ’s merits far better than my boring old words can. Watch it all, it’s a bit special. (I've popped the trailer for Indie Game: The Movie below too. Literally any excuse).

FEZ is due out... soon. It’s currently undergoing Microsoft certification.

Feels like this game was announced a million years ago.

It can win as many awards as it likes , its no good if we cant play it!

Looks awesome, but I don't know if I have the time to invest in a fringe game like this, and it looks liek it would sink quite a bit of time.

I've been looking forward to this game for a while. I love the blending of retro 2D gameplay while manipulating a 3D field to change it. Thank god for arcade titles, otherwise I'd have a lot of the same concepts over and over.

Looks hard, kinda reminds me of that ball game on ps1 where you had to get the fruit.

Not a fan of Phil Fish, but I think this game looks great, so I'm gonna have to give him the money for it, unfortunately.

@#1- That's because it was. Pretty sure the earliest this game was shown was in 2007, although I didn't know about it until 2010 I think.

@13- I think, correct me if I am wrong, he stated Japanese developers cannot make good games, or something similar. Sound correct?
