Infinite Undiscovery Gets a Release Date

Infinite Undiscovery Gets a Release Date
Written Thursday, May 22, 2008 by Dan Webb

The 360 exclusive, Infinite Undiscovery, developed by tri-Ace and published by Square Enix has now been given a definite release date. It is set to hit North America on the 2nd September and 3 days later on the 5th, the Europeans will have a chance to purchase it.

tri-Ace who published the Star Ocean series are now stepping up to this generation of consoles for the first time and the opinion of the media released so far is mixed. But with Square Enix backing it, there must be something there.

One further thing we noticed in the press release was this little statement:

"The first in a completely new lineup of Square Enix titles for the Xbox 360"

Can't be bad. We're just wondering what they have up their sleeves. Only time will tell.

I still don't understand why anyone would complain that Square-Enix is now really starting to support the 360. When has support ever been a bad thing.

I don't get it either. You're saying that every game now released in every genre is a crappy spinoff. cod 4 is a spinoff of team fortress. pes 2008 is a crappy spinoff of SWoS. get your facts right, a spin-off is where they use characters or a storyline from another game, not just using the same company. Should we get EA to call it a day just because they've been around for a while.

You cant really attribute SquareEnix to the Final Fantasy games of old. The lead designer/producer (Hironobu Sakaguchi) and music man (Nobuo Oematsu) went to Mistwalker, made Blue Dragon and also made Lost Odyssey. So any future FFs (like FF13 on PS3) is going to have Square Enix brilliance, just not the story or music behind it which it has always had.

Though I reckon this game is going to be awesome. Cant wait.

wow this looks cool. It may be a FF13 spinoff, but FF13 isn't going to be on the 360 :( so it isn't all bad that it may be a spinoff.

I'm not looking forward to this one. I'm looking forward to Tales of Vesperia on the 360.

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
