New Infinite Undiscovery Trailer

New Infinite Undiscovery Trailer
Written Wednesday, May 21, 2008 by Dan Webb

The latest trailer for Inifinite Undiscovery has just been posted at Gametrailers and if this title is like any of Square Enix's other RPG titles, we're certainly in for a treat. The trailer shows off some gameplay with some slick graphics and is certainly enough to raise our hopes, even if it is ever so slightly. Enjoy.

This game is going to be great. You can tell the english translations of the dialogue was just slapped onto the most likely original Japanese mouth movements... I'm sure it'd be in sync when the game's out.. I'm renting this for sure.

The combat is a spitting replica of eternal sonata, which for a RPG was kinda fun. Guessing the lip-sync will be dealt with by then. But it needs to up itself compared to the rest of the 360 rpgs as you need impossible cut-scene cgis, beautiful graphics, great composition of music and a story told in a way that holds the player wanting to play all the way from the start to finish but impossibly long so they would die trying. Pretty much oblivion with story and music but improved by 3 times.

Also a new type of hero should be invented, we have the hero (look at almost every game), anti-hero (Riddick easiest example), villain turned hero (bad guy with heart) and sacraficial hero (minor/moderate character who everyone loves and likes having around dies saving someone). Seeing as each one takes 10 years to make, the 360 looks unlucky to get anything.

Looks decent, hope they fix the voice acting tho, looks like a freaking godzilla movie

All about the gameplay here. Slick concepts and a lot of depth. Everything else comes across as generic or underwhelming, especially the character design and terrible voice work. This is the sort of game that is only coming to these shores because of developer name recognition while other, better games are overlooked.

Odd.
I'm not fond of many games where the characters yell out their attacks.

"I shall let you know what I am about to use that way if you think quickly you will have plenty of time to counter it!"

*Insert poor mouth-to-voice synchronization*

Damn I can't believe so many people are dissing the hell outta this game and it's not even out yet. I like anything Square Enix pushes out, except I don't like Blue Dragon like apparently everyone else does.

It doesn't look THAT bad, although it could look much much better...

Let's hope the storyline is top notch, as well as having decent achievements.

umm on the subject of bad square games i give you ffxi the most broken mmo on the market that instead of just dropping and making a better version like any other company would square just throw a new pack at every year or so that breaks it even more.

I had hope for this game when I saw the first trailer... but after watching this one it broke down into 1489754,48 pieces.

Why can't nobody make a good RPG instead of these turn based crap games? It's nice for Pokémon on the Nintendo DS but on my Xbox I want to strike down enemies myself and evade their attack. Pressing a button and watch untill you can press the button again is very boring imo. The only RPG's on the 360 I like are Oblivion, Two Worlds and Mass Effect.

Well, I guess I'll have to wait for Fable 2 and Two Worlds: The Temptaion then...

if you dont like rpg's why comment. i am a huge fan of rpg's
and in my opinion there aren't enough on the 360(although ps3 n wii have none).lost odyssey was amazing in every aspect.people slag off turn based rpg's cus their nothing new but i find turn based perfect n more strategic so y change it.people say oblivion n mass effect r great even tho ugh they 4got to add a story which is a main factor for an rpg which the japanese to the best ie final fantasy 7,most tales of games etc.
neway after my rant can't wait to play this i know square-enix wont let me down

I agree with bones turn based rpgs are the best, dont mind others as im a huge fan of all rpgs. the wii has zelda by the way which is one of the greatest rpg franchise's of all-time.

We need more JRPGs, not a big fan of mass effects new take on the rpg, im not a fan of shooters so i dont really like the mix.

Well, weather or not Zelda is truly an RPG is a highly debated point, and I expect bones doesn't consider it one (neither do I), but games like Baroque and Opoona keep it from being entirely void of RPG's. The PS3 has Folklore, at least, so "none" really isn't entirely accurate. I believe he simply meant none he could think of or care about.
Anyway, I think Infinite Undiscovery looks pretty darned good, although I agree that "INNUENDO DIVE!" is absolutely absurd. I hope Squenix fixes the lip-sync, but they don't always, so it's hard to tell. It marks the first REAL Squenix game on Xbox360 (Project Sylpheed was NOTHING like a real Squenix game, FFXI only sort of counts since it's an MMO port, and Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey were made by Mistwalker, NOT Squenix!), so that in itself mak

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
