2K Games has today confirmed the actual launch date for thinking man's shooter Spec Ops: The Line, having previously been tentatively pencilled in for release in spring 2012. What's more, a pre-order will net you a free upgrade to the 'FUBAR Pack', which comes with additional goodies for the game's squad-based multiplayer mode.

Here's what you'll get with the Spec Ops: The Line FUBAR Pack:

Twice the amount of experience points will be awarded during the first week of play, enabling gamers to expedite character ranking
The AK-47 weapon will unlock at rank one
The “Officer Class” will unlock at rank one. This character class includes several team-based advantages, such as reducing damage to teammates and increasing the effectiveness of other classes
Access to the “FUBAR Pack,” which contains exclusive accessories allowing players to customise their characters with unique and visually distinctive items

Spec Ops: The Line sees Captain Martin Walker embarking upon an emotional journey through a Dubai tearing itself apart, as he searches for Colonel Konrad with his buddies Adams and Lugo in tow. We went hands-on with the game earlier this month, and you can read our latest preview here.

Spec Ops: The Line will be marching into stores on June 26th in North America and June 29th internationally. Check out the new trailer for the pre-order FUBAR Pack below.

	This game really did look to have potential when it was first showed off. Now, not so much. It just looks too... generic.

	yeah im also looking forwarg to this.mot being a gears fan anymore doesnt leave me with any third person shooter choices no my favorite console.my purchase will be based on the amount of multiplayer achievements that it as.read as i dont want any

	the beta was crazy laggy, so im not pickingh it up until I am sure its fixed.

	This looks pretty awesome. I hope there is a significant amount of character customization (something akin to the R6: Vegas series would mean instant buy for me). I will need a new shooter to get into by that time. I'm excited to see more of this.

	This game looks good and all but i want a demo, i wanna see if the cover system is as good as gears and how the gameplay is.

	Yes finally a release date. Already placed my preorder a couple of weeks ago, always nice if you get something extra for doing that. But why does it always have to be multiplayer extra's??....

	Same day as Darksiders 2. Interesting. Not sure if I'll be getting this; I like the concept and I'm in the market for a a shooter to call home. But I'll have Future Soldier by then. I think I will get this.
