Street Fighter X Tekken's M. Bison, Akuma, Ogre and Jin Confirmed

38. That's the final character count for Street Fighter X Tekken, with Capcom confirming the addition of Akuma, M. Bison, Jin and Ogre, as leaked in a bunch of move lists for all of the game's characters last week.

Having now officially unveiled Street Fighter X Tekken's final four characters, Capcom has also released a load of new videos and five new screens showing the fighters in-game. The videos meanwhile, are a mixed bag of CG and gameplay, but they're all typically great, showing off the newly confirmed fighters.

Street Fighter X Tekken is due out on March 6th in North America and March 9th in Europe. Check out the three new videos below, but first, have a look at some screenshots. There's more in the gallery. We did a preview recently too.

Dont get me wrong, I'm loving the Tekken roster and Jin and Disguised Ogre form is awesome...but where is the Table Kicking, Chair smacking, Drunken Style Kung-fu Master Lei Wulong? Surely he should be in there?

They said they will be updating the game via DLC several times. In fact they have nearly said it the same amount of times I’ve seen the same fucking comments about editions, in ever single capcom news thread.

From what I understand, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 sold poorly, so I doubt they'll pull something like that again.

@2 @3 I'm waiting for people to stop repeating the same bilge on every comments page relating to a Capcom game.

I wouldn't mind, but the only release you might have had a point with would have been UmvC3 as that didn't really warrant a retail update with the content added.

The rest of the updated releases they have produced either came in a time before DLC (The SF2 series, as the mechanics were tweaked over time due to fan feedback, couldnt possibly have been patched with any improvements/new characters, and this goes for all the updates before this gen).

SSFIV totally warranted a new disc with the sheer amount of additional characters/stages/modes/tweaks to the fighting system. It completely changed the way the game worked and would have been daft to try and patch in.

To top it all off, Agent Mantis hasn't even played any of the aforementioned games (at least according to the Gamertag), so he really is just talking out of his arse. Sheep!

@7 ... They've released 3 of the same game with slight differences street fighter IV .. This year they are releasing another version of it ..

It's rumoured they have something new to announce around mvc3 .. So that may be ANOTHER version

It's a common occurrence with capcom if a fighting sells well capcom milk it for all it's worth

They even admitted they could have updated street fighter IV with an update or optional DLC package

It's been proven that there is less in the update for the game than there is an Xbox live arcade games maximum ., (2.2gb)

Capcom bull shit people and people like yourself number 7 fall for it hook line and sinker ..

They did it with street fighter 2 they did it with street fighter as a whole and destroyed the fighting genre .. Then they left it for a few years re releasing old versions on XBLA ..

Capcom will announce an "ultimate version" of this game, as there's too many characters wrongly left out .. And we know as A FACT not an opinion, what capcom are going to do

So there will be:

- Trial Mode (See Achievement List)
- Challenge Mode (See Achievement List)
- Mission Mode (See Achievement List)
- Team Battle
- Endless Battle (Lobby + Spectator)
- Scramble Mode (4 players at once)
- Online Training Mode
- Replay System
- Character Customization
- Interesting Gem System
- And maybe a Story Mode?

Why the f*ck didn't they do this with Marvel 3? That game lacked so much content. But anyway, hopefully this makes up for that.

@14 I disagree. UMVC3 does have good content. Vanilla was lacking the content. That Heroes and Heralds mode is pretty good and unique to that Capcom and Marvel. Scramble mode wouldn't work in UMVC 3. Online training mode would have been great, but hey they are learning more and more with each game. They can't think of everything right off the bat. I'm sure this game (SFXTekken) will make up for it, as you said.

@13 When you go off half cocked, it's usually worth making sure you aren't full of shit.

I mean, Seth Killian (Capcoms community manager) not only did interviews, but released a full Q&A video on why SSFIV couldn't be DLC and had to be a full retail game.

What I imagine you are referring to in your anguish is the admission that UMvC3 could have been DLC, but after the Tsunami they decided to go full retail with it as they needed the revenue. Which I referred to in the OP.

Also, 'The thing they did with SF2' - you surely don't mean the way they supported the game for close to 20 years after launch, constantly released updates based entirely on fan feedback and tournament results, and almost single handedly ensured that the 2D fighter genre didn't die out with the advent of 3D? If so, I'm not sure how to respond to that, as it's clearly an ill thought out argument that you threw in for effect.

Thank god you do not speak on behalf of the community, as Capcoms treatment of the SF series as a whole through the years has been exemplary - evidenced not least by the SF2 tournaments that are still held today.

Capcom has said and stated many times, no "ultimate" edition. They have heard the outcrys from the Capcom/SF community and I think will cater to them more this time. All DLC updates.

You morons can all wait for an Ultimate Edition, while I will be playing an already kick ass game on day 1!!

@18 I like your style Kris, although to be honest I couldn't care less if an 'Ultimate edition' of some sort was released at some point down the line.

If you like a game, and an improved version comes out with additional content, you can choose to buy it, or to ignore it. It's the same with DLC/GOTY editions/Activision games. Going in, you know your essentially buying the same thing with a few key differences, and you cvan choose whether to partake (DLC/GotY editions) or ignore their existence (Activision).

@18 Agreed. Either buy it or don't. It's not like Capcom forces them to buy the updated game. And so many ppl don't realease, that back in the 90's, you couldn't just go patch an arcade game or add some quick dlc, so that is why so many stand alone SF games came out. Capcom was far from greedy, they were catering to the fans and improving their game.

I hope this does well, with the rebirth of SF, MvC and now this crossover, I hope a NEW Darkstalkers is next, followed by Capcom VS SNK 3.
