Featuring 12 new routes across a variety of worldwide locations, as well as a bunch of new cars and liveries, the Complete Edition will set you back £29.99 / €39.99. It’s out on March 9th.

Find the full lowdown below. There’s fresh screens to accompany the announcement too, with more in the gallery. And if you're still umming and ahhing about picking the game up, why not read our review? We rather liked it

I still haven't got around to D3 yet, so I guess this would be the time to buy it. I have definitely heard good things.

So they're essentially saying it wasn't complete when they originally released it?!

@1 How are they shafting loyal fans? You chose to buy it when it came out... you didnt have to. You paid the extra money in order to get the DLC at an earlier time then everyone else that will buy this version of the game

I almost bought this on Tuesday, but was put off by the expensive DLC. Any word if there will be a complete edition for PC?

I dont see a problem with these situations. When Fallout 3 came out with all the DLC at like £20 I was pissed off but then I had bought the DLC over a year earlier so got to enjoy it sooner.

Was my choice in the end!

I saw this listed on the site i buy from now but there was no date. Still don't know if i will buy it though it didn't feel as good as dirt 2. I played it for about an hour when it came out.

I used to be a huge supporter of Codemasters and their racing games, but what they did with Dirt 3 was disgusting; locking out a good chunk of content on the disc so they can sell it as overpriced DLC. Sorry, I won't be buying Dirt Showdown or anything else they churn out if they're going to continue these kinds of business practices.

Cool, so glad I waited on this game now, the DLC looked like a big rip-off.

I hated this ultimate edition trend 7 ultimate editions ago.
It just defeats the purpose of buying a game on its release day, which is why I not picking up streetfighterXtekken on release day.

Will this DLC be on disc or a download code? If so I may be tempted to sell my sealed copy of Dirt 3 that I bought on Black Friday and just buy this.

Well, don't I feel stupid for buying this last month with some HMV vouchers I got at Christmas. No big loss though, I didn't really enjoy the game anyway, which is a first.

@5 - They are shafting us because, as others have stated, it was released without these "DLC" - Yet in the actual game it shows that you haven't completed all the events, because you haven't paid extra for them! Pure bullshit!

I know I can't be the only one that was pissed off by this, and to add insult to injury they release the "complete" edition for far less than many people paid for the game at launch.

The very least these companies could do is to offer fans the chance to swap their original copy for the "complete" edition. At least that would be some kind of reward for your loyalty.

@5 Oh, and I didn't buy it when it came out, I waited a few weeks and got it brand new for much cheaper (Around £12 I think).

And I sure as hell didn't buy the crappy overpriced DLC, that should have been in the game anyway.

I hate these. Spend $59.99 on an "incomplete" game, then a year later, only spend $29.99 without having to shell out even more money for the DLC. I miss the good ol days of buying the game complete while the company worked on another game.
