I have "Bane" is my ID. I have to play this game.Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 01:53 PM
this looks so great. Hopefully the beta can hold me over until the real game comes outThursday, January 26, 2012 @ 01:55 PM
People who do the whole "furst" crap should be temp banned. Anyway, I've been playing this for a few weeks now and it's a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. There are a few things that need tweaking though...Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 01:57 PM
From the trailer it looks like they've added a few new maps, maps which didn't appear in the closed beta. Awesome!Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 01:58 PM
@4 mad he wasn't firstThursday, January 26, 2012 @ 02:01 PM
I thought those that bought Arkham City were allowed early access or something. Did I miss that or something?Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 02:08 PM
Is this like TF2 and is this a full game or a arcade game? On Topic: this game does look good. Joker type character will be my choice.Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 02:09 PM
Sorry for double posting but I didn't realise the achievements were out so I now know it's a arcade game.Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 02:09 PM
@4 Few weeks? On what platform? I signed up for the beta, here's hoping I get selected.Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 02:27 PM
Open for all? The beta page just says "Thanks for your interest". I signed up on day 1 of the beta openings, and also added my code from Arkham City but still never got in.Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 02:33 PM
@lucifonz thats what i did and i heard nothing backThursday, January 26, 2012 @ 02:40 PM
Thanks for the info. I'm signing up now.Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 02:41 PM
I signed up when Arkham city came out, no invite and can't get anything when I clck betaThursday, January 26, 2012 @ 02:53 PM
@11,12&14 Same here! This is about the third time i thought i was gonna get the beta and was denied. Is it because they know I'm gonna buy it either way?Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 03:09 PM
30 mins after posting - just checked my e-mails guys and whaddya know they just sent my a key 3 minutes ago!Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 03:48 PM
Cool :)Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 04:07 PM
I signed up when Arkham City came out and got nothing. Signed up again this morning and I got a code.Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 04:17 PM
Check your email peopleThursday, January 26, 2012 @ 04:26 PM
I tried to sign up when the beta was closed, but I didn't make it. I checked my e-mail after reading this article and the comments, and I found a beta code waiting. I redeemed it and will be playing the beta later tonight.Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 04:28 PM
Anyone that entered their code from Arkham City will get exclusive in game content for this game, it wasn't an early access for the beta or even a beta code. Anyways this game is one of the funnest games out right now and I love it.Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 04:37 PM
Signed up when I got Arkham and still nothing.. their site is garbage!Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 04:45 PM
So is it just me, or is this pretty much un-playable due to the horible frame rate?Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 04:57 PM
hopefully I get an email. Signed up about 2 hours ago and still waiting... :-(Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 05:01 PM
Wow go figure.. I complain on here and no sooner than I do, they send me the invite to my email.. it's as if they're knowingly being stupid and just watching these threads till we flip out..Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 05:10 PM
After trying a handful of times to get in to the previous betas and thinking I would just have to wait until the full release I randomly received an email today with my key. Outstanding! Can't wait to fire this up tonight! -footThursday, January 26, 2012 @ 06:49 PM
Its if you get chosen thing.........Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 07:03 PM
tried to register for WBID, got to the password part, typed it in etc and fully registered then it came up with an internal error. Tried registering again, typed my email, DOB and accepted the ToS & privacy policy, clicked submit, then the page reset, leaving only my email address on the page.... wtf is going on??? :|Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 07:42 PM
@28: Same thing happened to me. What is happening is a terrible user experience and they need to hire some code testers to make sure bullshit like this doesn't happen.Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 08:27 PM
@29 yep, what a great way to promote an open beta with a broken registration form!Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 08:32 PM
Maybe now I can see what all the hype is about nowThursday, January 26, 2012 @ 08:42 PM
I love how I applied for the PC beta and they send me a code for the console beta. F U gotham city imposter developers!lolThursday, January 26, 2012 @ 09:27 PM
Are there any differences between the public beta and the closed beta? I experienced some really laggy games. I'm sure the final product will fix the issues, but I'll pass on any more beta if it's still as unstable. :/Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 10:41 PM
@33 hopefully it's nothing like the lag from the BF3 open beta *twitch*Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 11:26 PM
@34 I know the issues have been resolved for BF3 in the final release, but that beta completely turned me off from buying BF3 day one. I ended up renting it and even paying for an online pass to play with some friends. I enjoyed it a lot. But that beta left a bad taste in my mouth. Keep in mind I'm a lot more forgiving with a $15 downloadable to a $60 retail game.Thursday, January 26, 2012 @ 11:28 PM
Lee, you do realize you misspelled "Impostors" twice, right? And even spelled it wrong in the URL.Friday, January 27, 2012 @ 01:21 AM
I signed up for this when it literally was first mentioned last year and I heard NOTHING about it. Checked Kotaku today, they mentioned how it was out and I raged, but checked my e-mail anyway, and go figure, I got my e-mail NOW. Doesn't make any sense. From what I played so far, I heard lots of audio problems inconsistencies, but I have to see if that was supposed to be that way or what when I play again. Also got stuck in an unfair match where the Batz team only had me and one other person, while the Jokerz team was full of people all standing on a roof shooting at us making it literally impossible to win. It was the worst thing ever.Friday, January 27, 2012 @ 01:54 AM
@35 I still bought BF3 and mind you it was AU$110 here on release day, if I only had to give up US$60, I'd be much happier! :PFriday, January 27, 2012 @ 02:05 AM
@38 It's ridiculous how much more games cost in other countries compared to the American dollar.Friday, January 27, 2012 @ 02:15 AM
Anyone who tried singing up on the WBid site, you're wasting your time. I was a member of that for months before the game was announced and I added my code from Arkham City, still didn't help. Keep your eyes peeled for GameSpot giving away beta codes, that's how I got my one for the first closed beta months ago.Friday, January 27, 2012 @ 02:39 AM
I signed up when I first got Arkham City the first week it came out, checked my spam this morning and it was in there :PFriday, January 27, 2012 @ 05:05 AM
The videos looked great, to bad the game SUCKS!Friday, January 27, 2012 @ 05:53 AM
http://d12.parature.com/link/portal/24018/24023/Article/8/I-bought-Batman-Arkham-City-and-the-included-Impostors-beta-code-does-not-work This explains everything, it was a mistake and nobody was entitled to beta access through their arkham city code.Friday, January 27, 2012 @ 05:55 AM
Lee, you need to go back to school mate, this is 2nd mistake in 2 days! Just signed up for my Beta, going to be blasting on this tonight if i get a code!Friday, January 27, 2012 @ 07:43 AM
My WBID stills say "Thank you for applying to be part of the beta! We will email you if you are selected." I applied last week and no code for me. :(Friday, January 27, 2012 @ 06:57 PM
Yeah mos def not open to all... You have to wait for a key to play after you register...

The public beta for Gotham City Imposters is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace, publisher Warner Bros. has announced.
The Batman-inspired, team-based multiplayer shooter, featuring various ragtag impersonations of Bats and Mr J, offers up a bunch of cool customisation tools, allowing you to tinker with your weapons and your look. You can get a glimpse of that in the new trailer released alongside the announcement.
Those who wish to join the beta – which has been running in a closed capacity for a while now – should swing over to gothamcitymposters.com to grab a beta key. The game itself is out next month on Xbox Live. Trailer's below.
