No less than five UK retailers are getting in on the pre-order bonuses for EA's SSX reboot, carving its way through the white stuff this March with GAME and Gamestation getting the lion's share of the goodies, leaving the rest with extra snowboards.

GAME and Gamestation are offering the SSX Limited Edition, which comes with the iconic Mt. Fuji, complete with six unique drop-points to enjoy, as well as the ginger afro-sporting Eddie Wachowski with his Elite Snowboard and an attribute perk.

Meanwhile, Play.com is offering Elise's snowboard, HMV has Mac's snowboard to give away with pre-orders, TheHut.com has Zoe's snowboard and Amazon will give you Kaori's snowboard when you pre-order SSX. Go ahead. Take your pick.

SSX will be getting tricky on February 29th, 2012 in North America and March 2nd in Europe. Here's an image of the Limited Edition content:

[Thanks, Arron]

Argh, nothing for ShopTo! A shame they couldnt make all first run editions Limited Editions, which is what they usually do.

Pain in the arse all these limited editions being retailer specific, I had this on order @ Shopto until i found out other retailers had certain editions.

I just hope the versions people aren't getting get released as DLC later (For the right price of course)

There are currently 3 news articles about pre-order dlc on the main page. It's starting to get out of hand...

@2 from the two demos I played, yes it's not entirely like the original games, but it is still very fun, and I as well as many other think this game will do great!

I've already put my preorder down with game.

the last SSX game came out before all of this preorder crap. It's sad to see a classic series suddenly turned into a modern cash cow

Pretty crappy pre-order incentives, i'll just but second hand a few weeks down the line, got other things to play, incentives dont seem to be persuading me to do otherwise

Something revelatory has just occurred to me: You will pay for these at any three given points either A) as a pre-order incentive, B) As paid DLC a month or two after the game has been released, and the dev lets it out to the public or C) In the "Complete Collection" of the game with the core experience, and ALL of the DlC. I'm psyched for SSX, but I just realized that there is such a play on peoples lack of patience that nearly every game does.

Loved SSX but this is basically a reboot so there is no way im taking the risk of buying this full price, ill wait for the reviews and other gamers opinions on it, then if its any good like the originals ill pick it up later in the year for less than half price.

Feb is Darkness 2, March is all Mass Effect 3, would have no time to play this anyway until later in the year.

This is why I'm falling slowly out of love with gaming. Constant pre order bonuses, DLC promises, online passes. Never just simply buying a game and playing it anymore.

You can still do that. It's simply hard not giving a shit about DLC or pre-order offers from time to time. But it's possible. Same thing with crappy collectors and their shit statues. (God I hate those)

But unless I preorder I don't get the "full" game. And with DLC the way it is, you have to buy it too to get what the developers intended most of the time.

There are exceptions. GTAIV had great DLC, but with Epic ripping everyone off in Gears 3, for stuff that was blatantly held back for extra money, I'm gradually giving up.
