To be honest i think this game is over hyped and bound to fail.
I hate to say it about games, but it prob wont be "all that".
Look at the hype for dark void for example, or brink.
This is kind of fps meets the paranomal. Bit stupid. Hope its good. But if its not i hope the achievement list is easy enough. |

| Considering that screenshot is the same one used in every preview (both online and in the magazines), this is not a big surprise. Everything I saw so far made the game look like a very generic shooter. |

Why do they even other telling us about these games fucking years b4 they r even ready! why not tell us like 6 months b4 they really know they r ready and then hit us with all the PR shit!
9 out of 10 times the games never live up 2 the promise anyway and are a major let down. This game was looking pretty good n all ;o(

| rockstar did this with max payne three, but ive never doubted them, only 2 months until thats released, id rather have a game thats got the best graphics, amazing gameplay, and a brilliant story, rather than have a game that doesnt play properly, doesnt deliver, and fails all around, so i heard about XCOM when E3 was on soo, roll on 2013. |

| Meh. The game looked good at first, then I found out you can't do every mission in one playthrough (I like doing everything at first). This game is set to fail with all this hype, and repeating delays. |

| It's a real shame, as XCOM, or at least the original versions, were/are a great franchise, i've still got Enemy Unknown & TFTD installed on my PC, though I can't wait for EU to come to 360. As for the FPS XCOM, it sucks, no doubt, but 2012 is set to be another big year for games, so pushin it back might not be the most stupid thing to do . . . |

Not surprising really, 2K games will delay a game if they don't think it's up to par. I wish other publishers/developers took this route instead of releasing a game that needs more time.

| GARBAGE!!! 2K has no balls at all. The reason they delayed it is because the stupid fan boys of XCOM from the 90s games were whining about it being a FPS, and 2K is scared to release it. They have no trust in fans of good story based FPS games like myself would buy it. Which i had all the intentions to buy it, but the constant delaying is realy pissing me off. Oh and btw 2K i will never buy that piss of shit RTS shit u got coming out at the end of the year. If u want my money it will be with the FPS version. |

| Yea 2k does delay a lot of games but oh well, I rather enjoy what I get from them, so I can wait. I do hope we atleast get one 2k game this year. Either Borderlands 2 (probably gonna get delayed again) or Bioshock: Infinite( probably will get delayed as well....again.) |

| Ever since Enemy Unknown has been announced I've been looking forward to that one the most. I guess I just prefer the strategy Xcom over an FPS, having been a big fan of the originals. As long as Enemy Unknown manages to dodge any possible delays. I'll remain happy. |

| This is the FPS XCOM right? I say they should just cancel it. It obvious they are putting their focus into the more tactical RTS XCOM instead. And lets be honest, the true XCOM players will prefer Enemy Unknown over a FPS. Those that haven't played XCOM before, trust me, Enemy Unknown will be a better game and much more fun. |

| The reason I said about COD was as people are complaining about this being delayed, if it means it's going to play better why not, so the reason for mentioning COD is that if Activision actualy delayed them or actualy gave there development team longer they may actual be able to do more with it. Look I'm not saying COD is bad, I just feel they need a longer development period to make wider changes to the gameplay, I'm glad 2K are happy enough to delay there games to allow for re finement. |

| @60 - The FPS and RTS XCOM's that are coming out aren't even made by the same company, so they have their dev team's full attention. FPS XCOM probably just wasn't up to snuff yet. |
