Looks pretty original though. I'll keep an eye on this.

Just read this. Surely not true.
With rumours rife about the potential E3 arrival of both the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox 720 consoles, new reports from industry experts have suggested one of the leading manufacturers could be on the verge of withdrawing from the hardware race.
With Kaz Hirai, Chairman of Sony Computer Entertainment, this week refuting rumours the company is set to unveil the eagerly awaited PS4 at E3 2012 in June, a representative of cloud gaming service Gaikai has announced he expects either Sony or Microsoft to reveal they are to produce no further gaming consoles.
"Not all of the current console makers will have one more generation," said Nanea Reeves, chief product officer for Gaikai. "That will be the big news at E3."
With Nintendo having already confirmed it is to return to the E3 show floor in Los Angeles later this year to once again tout its widely confusing Wii U wares, it is not known exactly which of the gaming industry's two big players Reeves is referring to.

@ number 4 where ever you heard this bs from its totally unlikely that Microsoft is just going to be like "yeah even though we rake in millions of dollars in each quarter, let alone for the whole year on retailed single titled games like CoD, GoW, Halo, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, Bioshock, Batman, Forza, and i can go on and on.. we Microsoft have decided as a company to pull out of this muti-billion dollar industry. Even though we pretty much made it what it is today."
Yeah that doesnt sound like ANYTHING Microsoft would ever do as a company. so you might not wanna believe everything you read online. cause 85% is not true.

@4 Idk what this has to do with the article but while we are on the subject Microsoft has already confirmed they are working on a new console and its actually been "rumor" for awhile that Sony is in serious financial trouble and might have to drop out of the console "race" and possibly stop making games through first party studios altogether...

Bad release date, these people need to choose their days in an easier to obtain fashion. Don't FFXIII-2 and SC:V come out that day? It's pretty much RPG week and they slap this in between, just as idiotic as people releasing games the same time when Mass Effect 3 is U-hauling the spot light.

yeah i heard that the next xbox will have DVR intergraded with the console. and Microsoft probably got this idea from all the Youtube videos of people making Walkthrough guides on pretty much any/every game that comes out using Capture Cards. which cost alot of money normally. I for one really dont care to much about making a video for someone else, but i guess its a cool feature but it seems to me they are straying away from what video games are. and trying to push it more towards a TV based market. which i dont like cause i dont go on my Xbox for TV. i go on there to play high quality games. i dont know we shall see what happens i guess

@#6 "we Microsoft have decided as a company to pull out of this muti-billion dollar industry. Even though we pretty much made it what it is today."
I agree with your sarcasm.. they won't obviously... BUT
???? Are you serious...??? Microsoft pretty much made the gaming industry what it is today??? Were you even born before the xbox? I think your forgetting a little system from Sony called the Playstation 1(and it's successor PS2 for that matter) which single handedly eliminated Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo 64... (Gamecube and Wii don't count...Wii was a one trick pony and sales are dropping big time... Nintendo is trying to fix that with more 3rd party support on their upcoming console tho, so theres hope for them.)
All Microsoft did was follow upon Sony's business model.. and added a few new wrinkles like achievements and dlc... and the dirty tactic of buying exclusive rights to 3rd party games, which used to be Sony only.(which isn't an issue anymore, since a few months later 3rd party games for either system come to the other system for the most part nowadays anyways...)
As far as the article.. It's Sony that'll probably stop making consoles..
The ps3 has amazing tech as far as processor.. tho it could use more memory..and they've had since 2006 to come up with newer, faster technology for their processor... If they don't, it wouldn't surprise me... My personal guess is... we are only 5 years into the ps3's lifespan.. and it's kinda pointless for them to create a new console.. tech wise, money wise, game wise... The ps3 has at least 5 more years of life still in it, the safest and smartest bet is to just continue making games for this current generation... Even most xbox fans think it's too early for another xbox.. the 360 is doing just fine, and thriving now more then ever...
The question is... Does MS think Halo 4 will do better on a new console or on the 360??? or a new GoW series(or whatever their other main cash cow is...Forza?) If they come out on the 360, they might start to seem tiresome... BUT if they come out on a new console.. no one will care... It's more of a marketing decision... I personally don't think it will matter, the games will sell regardless... but to make them the "new hotness" AND make more money then ever... they need them on a new console... It's a shame MS thinks this way.. but i bet they are... Either way it's a win win for us fans and gamers...
I have both, a PS3 AND a 360, and I personally am not interested in new consoles for at least 3 more years.. and even if there is announcements for new systems this spring/summer, the systems won't be released for AT LEAST 3 years anyways... Announcing a new console is wayyy diff then setting a release date... it usually takes about 3-5 years for a system to get to the market from when it is originally conceptualized and announced...
For me... all i need is more memory and more hdd space... processors are fine atm..
I can already add more hdd space.. and maybe they'll come up with a way to add more memory..?

You cant combat made up shit with more made up shit... 85% of that statement right there has no credibility and is purely your personal opinion... if you can even consider it that...
First of all you cant say the PS1 single handily eliminated anything especially when you are spanning 2 console generations over the course of nearly 10 years. The Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo were made before the days of Playstation and the Dreamcast and 64 came out after. Even taking into consideration the PS2 Sony did not eliminate any consoles with the Playstation. Each developer just moved on to the next big thing. Im not sure why the Gamecube and Wii dont count. Considering everyone has been saying Nintendo was failing since before the Gamecube came out and that the Wii would bankrupt them and then it went on to be the second highest selling console of all time next to the PS2 which released in 2000 and continues to be sold today while the Wii has been on the market just barely over 5 years. See Sony likes to do this cute little thing where they release how many units have been shipped but not how many units actually sold so that their numbers look higher by comparison. If you really want to get technical the DS is the highest selling video game player of all time so Id say Nintendo is doing just fine. "Wii was a one trick pony and sales are dropping big time..." Wii wasnt anything its still here and if it is just a one trick pony then why did Sony and Microsoft decide to rip off the idea of motion control when they realized how well it sold? And the only reason its sales are dropping is because everyone already fucking owns one and Nintendo already announced the follow up Wii U. SO... get your shit straight before spouting it out all over the internet... for fucks sake...
