| I don't even need an excuse to play more Dark Souls so this is great news, I just hope it doesn't turn out to be something multiplayer/new equipment related but is actually a whole new area. |

It doesn’t need DLC. the game is a masterstroke. they should be working on a sequel.
@4 it most probably will be . a new area would be pointless as it wouldn’t scale with the balance of the game.

| if it has achievements, I bet they will take another 50 hours or so! Man, I spent 160 hours on this game in total. most time consuming and frustrating 1000G ever, but well worth it! |

I'm skeptical on this. The developer said they had 0 interest in making DLC, plus we already have a forest area in the game that's already dark.
We'll have to wait and see though. I love Dark Souls and would welcome more of it! |

as for DLC i havent even finished the main game yet.
as for coments saying skyrim is better. in any elderscrolls game, its easy to become god like. in this game. YOU WILL DIE ALOT! which i'm glad for. i'm so sick of being able to have godlike powers. both are unrealistic, but for the 1st time ever, i have finally died in an RPG. i go all the way back to the 70s. so i've been playing games along time now.
i find most games look good but no challenge to them. this game is cool because its very challenging. just dont like updates that make my guidebooks unusable. but at least it didnt suffer the fate that updates to skyrim did. i still have to play skyrim offline. |

Take this with a pinch of salt. FROM are notorious for their attitude toward DLC, however the cult following this game has accrued may inspire a more positive outlook towards it i.e. future revenue stream.
Regardless, this is the game of 2011 without equivocation more Dark Souls is always ace in my book. |

| What is so bad about them bringing DLC? It's just more game-play for us! Who cares if you think it's going to be bad because they said they were not going to make any, maybe they were keeping it a secret? The main thing is they haven't really said anything about it that we can judge it on. You just have to wait and see! |

| @27 yeah I was thinking once that it would be a cool idea if maybe they could have an easy mode for people who just can't find the time to fight through the game but at the cost of locking up the achievements. You may not get any credit but at least they could see all the greatness the world has to offer. |
