Klei has released a fresh gameplay vid for Shank 2 today, showing more of the lavishly animated slash 'em up in action, featuring the game's badass protagonist carving his way through burly enemies, spilling plenty of claret along the way.

There's not just violent knife play though. There's some shotgun wielding too, some up close and personal executions and even a bit of wanton chainsawing for good measure. Shank 2 doesn't pull its punches when it comes to the old red stuff, that's for sure.

Check out the new gameplay trailer for a look at Shank 2's arsenal, then look forward to getting stabby with the Shank sequel on XBLA later this year.
