Trials Evolution Coming in 2012 Says RedLynx

Trials Evolution developer RedLynx has decided to step forward and talk about the release date for its latest instalment in the Trials series today, apologising for failing to make its proposed late 2011 release window, revealing that 2012 will most definitely be the year for the game's launch on XBLA.

"Quick update on the Trials Evolution release date – obviously we did not make 2011, we are sorry about that," RedLynx posted on its Facebook page. "We have been very busy with the game, but 2012 is the year. We can’t say when yet, but we are super busy, so that’s a clue. We hope to have a big announcement with a more solid release date within the the near future.

"Thanks for your patience!"

Finnish developer RedLynx was acquired by Ubisoft back in November and news on Trials Evolution has been thin on the ground since then. With today's broken silence however, we can start looking forward to seeing Trials Evolution later in the year, so we can enjoy the compulsive fun and frustration all over again. Hurrah!

How can you "evolve" Trials? The game is already amazing!

I can't wait for this. The first one was very satisfying to get 300/300 and hopefully this will be just as satisfying, if not more.

Can't wait I would happily pay 1200 + Microsoft points for this master piece. It would be very cool if they would make a retail trials with the first ,his 1 and all dlc in both that would be great

Hated Redlynx for a while for saying that trails "Will be out when its ready". Pricks, thats what your mother says to you when your 5 when you ask whens tea.

But then i remembered Inferno II & remembered how i jumped around my room with glee for completing it on my 3rd run with 386 fails. Trials is just too good

Will get this the wednesday when it comes out, and will pay whatever for it, even if it is 1600MSP! Trials HD lasted me for ages, the DLC was brilliant; and it was worth every MSP out of the 1200 I payed for it!

Can't wait!

I only ever got 180g from the first Trials, but I sure had a load of fun gettin gold medals on all but 4 challenges.

Trials Evolution will definitely be a day 1 purchase for me, and multiplayer should give this even more playability. Many hours of fun to be had!

'2012' is a little vague. But, as long as they FINALLY get it out this year, I'll be pleased. I might not be the worlds greatest at the game, but none of my friends who have the game are anywhere close to my scores. Need some more to school my friends at!

after beating all tracks in Trails HD on expert i have no want for this game
Expert is no fun...Its putting together a choreographed motion of button pushing that can really get on your nerves.

if this has fun and exciting courses with out expert or (no expert achievements) i will buy it.

Trials HD is by far my favorite XBLA game but the developer is irritating me. They should be able to give us a more specific date by now. 2012 just started and if they are saying I might have to wait until Summer or Fall, after expecting this in late 2011, I'm going to be pissed.

@2 They will have global track sharing, everyone will be able to download new tracks that the community has made. They are giving gamers the same set of tools they used to make the tracks for the game.

I played it at PAX, it was fun and great looking. And the 4 player online will be fun. all the players on the screen at the same time. and they have the track turn. I cant wait

Not in a bigheaded way but I sincerely did not find Trials HD to be THAT hard, it was a challenge, but a fair one. Well, saying that, the Marathon achievement can cram it with walnuts.
