|I think all shotgun's that have a scope should have there range drastically reduced,how can you get shot by someone with a shotgun with a x6 or above scope from say half the map away & get a kill? that to me is just plain stupid,doesnt happen without the scope for that distance. Its the new sniper rifle on steroids...other than that am quite happy apart from I think the t90 tank is more powerful than the others! frigging ace game though DICE so keep up the good work. |

|I think we all know this mostly means the IRNV which, in my opinion, is a little OP. Night vision amplifies ambient light, if I am correct, so using such a device in broad daylight or with someone shining the Tactical Sun attachment at you would not only render it useless but temporarily blind and disorientate the user. People use it so targets are painted as massive orange objects and it's pretty cheap and pathetic. It should only really 'work' in Tehran Highway, the darker parts of Metro's tunnels or Firestorm's warehouses where light is hard to come by. And even then if you need such a crutch to play you should sod off to Call of Duty to have everything spoon fed to you instead. |
Only other things I've seen people rant about is the USAS-12 with Frag Rounds. Although Squad Flak specialisation could help with that and, like my squad and I do, you can always adapt and overcome - switch your playstyle up and destroy the user until they submit to using a different weapon or rage quit because their supposed unstoppable tactic has been stopped. Dead.
Javelin/Guided Shell/SOFLAM/CITV could still do with a little fine-tuning, might I add.
But aside from that, this is most definitely my shooter of the year. An excellent game.

Tac Light and Frag rounds at least on the full-auto shotguns. Those are ridiculous crutches.
At least on single-fire shotguns frag rounds are balanced by needing time between shots.

The likes of the heavy barrel, foregrip, suppressor and even the laser sight don't really make any impact on my weapon properties, at least as far as I can tell.
I usually set up wif either an holographic or an acog scope, foregrip & silencer. Reason being I like the look of it & those 2 are the only sights I like.
Don't think there is an imbalance really, adapt and overcome I say. Maybe make AA-Launchers a bit more powerful but I have no real complaints about this game, some of the people playing are wankers but you can't blame DICE for that.

|INRV needs to be nerfed and so do Tac Lights. Tac Lights do not have the same effect in a subway as they do in the middle of a desert. And the USAS-12 with frag rounds is so annoying. Frag rounds are used for suppression not douchey-ness. |

|Make the tacticle light less effective in sunlight, and increase the cooldown time on the flares in jets and planes. Surface to air missles are becoming sillier and sillier. In a group they are effective but good luck getting into a game with a group, but that is another story. |

@#3 Shotguns were like that since long long time ago... I have no idea why they did not fix it, but it is a little better than being sniped from a mile away with shotgun like in BC2, where all you had to is pick 3 specific perks to turn shotty into a sniper, but with better accuracy and wider radius LOL

Second, the new guns for Karkand are way overpowered. I didn't mind at first because it was something new...but considering all the Christmas Newbs playing...
Third, who cares about game balance when they STILL CANNOT GET you into a game with your squad all on one side! I have joined games that have only a few people with a squad of 2 and had it put us on separate teams even if it makes the sides something like 8 to 9. Joined with 4 and it put 3 on us making 8 players and another on RU making 5. They had to switch sides immediately to actually balance server.
Then there is the mess with trying to join EA servers...

OT: Please DICE, you need to seriously revamp your bullet damage system. I come from a family who knows guns. My dad was in the military. At one time he owned over 20 guns. So needless to say, I know my guns. Anyways, when I first unlocked the M98B .50 cal, I lined up a shot and hit the guy dead center in the chest. What happened? Hit marker. He stopped with his pistol and "Pop, Pop!" two shots from a 9mm and I'm dead. Even though I just shot him in the chest with a .50 cal from 30 feet away. I should be able to put my head through his chest. 7.62 rounds DO MORE DAMAGE THAN 5.56 DICE! I went to a shoot with a bunch of ppl. A scrap car was in the front of a 15ft high dirt mound. Guy with an AR-15 loaded with 5.56 or .223 fired all 20 shots. While impressive, didn't do that much dmg. Next guy comes up with his russian ak 47 loaded with 7.62 or .30 cal. Completely different story with different calibers. Needless to say he chewed the car to pieces.
Here is another complaint I freaking HATE more than anything. If I round a corner and meet an enemy, and he sees me at the same time, he has his pistol out and I have my 7.62 gun or even a gun that fires 5.56. Ok, he shoots first bc pistols are light so naturally he'll ADS faster. He gets the first hit but when I shoot, my bullets DO HIT HIM, yet he kills me. Why? Because DICE's understanding is the person whos bullets hit first gets the kill no matter if I hit the guy in the neck with a .50, he can kill me with a 9mm. I've also blasted someone in the face with a 12ga point blank, I'm talking like he "rounded the corner and I seen the color of his eyes" kind of point blank. Hit marker only and he then shoots me twice with his pistol and kills me. W.T.F?!?! C'mon DICE, your game is realistic? I love your game, deep down I really do, but yeah your "bullet drop" might seem cool and all but the bullet damage is a joke. Your game is about as realistic as CoD. Oh, one more thing.....1 AT mine can disable a tank, 2 can destroy it....but WHY IN THE HELL DOES MY 5 RPGS NOT DESTROY IT? Makes no sense. Fix it.

|For sure a shotgun should do limited damage at range with pellets regardless of the scope. And for sure a .50 cal to the chest should instakill no matter the armor. Armor, hit location, weapon caliber, muzzle velocity, distance, number of rounds all come into it in most cases (pistol 7mm versus rifle .50 cal aside). |
While at 20 feet a single 9mm silenced submachinegun round to the "right place" might often do more damage than a single 5.56mm non-silenced rifle round to the "wrong place", six 5.56 versus two 9mm is another story, say. Still, a lot of that has to do with other things, such as a .2 second network advantage in seeing and shooting that another player might have.
An IRNV shouldn't work well at all whenever there's lots of IR around, eh? Although come to think of it, the Damavand Peak tunnel might benefit from such a thing, going into buildings anywhere before the eyes adjust and so on. Broad daylight, plenty of fires, lots of ambient heat, not so much.
Speaking of jets though...

|@29 Actually, it's a .338 Lapua Magnum, which in gun terms is right under a .50 if you REALLY wanna get technical (ah the internet, making nerds instant gun experts overnight!). Regardless if it's a .338 or a .50, at 30 ft it'll down an elephant. The network advantage shouldn't even exist...what happened to dedicated servers? It just baffles me about some guns on this game. You have subs (thats short for submachine guns for anyone who doesn't know) that are more accurate than rifles and rifles that couldn't hit shit. Example: On Grand Bazaar, heading to A U.S side I believe, meet a guy I would assume around 50-60 ft heading towards me at A. I have an m16a4, well, I crouch and let loose. Hit marker of course then I hear "whiz, whiz, pop, pop", dead. Killed by a pp19. And it's nothing to do with how I shoot, I did about a 2-3 second trigger pull, I'm using and acog plus a foregrip and PLUS I'm crouched. Super accurate right? Nope. The guy with the pp19, WHILE WALKING TOWARDS ME, holds his trigger down and almost every friggin bullet hits me. Wow. There is so many things wrong with this game it's unreal...even at that I will still play this over CoD any day. Like on Grand Bazaar again, at B on conquest, it's almost ALWAYS A DAMNED ROCKET SPAM, NOOBTUBE SPAM. Same thing with B on Metro. Me and 5 guys roll up the steps to flank right side of B. What happens next? Oh nothing but your typical 30-40 rpgs frlying at your face, or tubes raining on your face, and let's not fail to mention the usas-12 frag rounds beating on your chest like Hercules. Gotta love those matches...makes the game enjoyable doesn't it? Limit the carried explosives DICE! Let the ammo refills ONLY REFILL BULLETS! Not, smaws, rpgs, frags, mines, and tubes! That just makes the CoD fags use these cheap ass kills. And trust me, if you favor BF over CoD and consider yourself a BF vet....you can spot a CoD player on BF a mile away. Sitting at the top of the steps spamming rpgs while your buddy gives you unlimited ammo is not only cheap....it MAKES ME NOT WANNA PLAY YOUR GAME. Get it? |

Also, PLEASE separate Conquest Assault from Conquest so that game-type can go away. It is stupid, unbalanced, and kills my score per minute. Tickets bleed out while you are waiting 30 seconds for game to start.

The only problem I have right now is that I play a lot of Support and I seem to only be able to find teams of people who are only good at getting destroyed. I always try to counter-mortar spawn campers, but when someone advances and I need to drop the mortar to defend myself, I stand up facing a totally different direction and get killed nearly every time. I wish that wouldn't happen.
As far as attachments go, flash supp seems rather useless when compared to supp, and I think if you don't go into a match with a team with a plan there is no reason to ever run a SOFLAM over MAV.

If you have such a problem with a video game not matching up with real life then I don't expect you play many games where you don't feel like bitching after putting a couple of hours into it. These games aren't meant to be pure combat simulators. They are meant to be played with like a toy and nothing more.

It would be cool if DICE could make a few new areas on each map for Team Deathmatch. I'm not talking massive changes to the map here, or any change at all for that matter, I just mean make different areas available, such as the start of Operation: Metro, and definitely some areas on Damarvand Peak :)
Oh, and maybe add private match abilities... pwease Dice :3

So there it is, DICE. And furthermore, I deem video games, for me anyways, as a HOBBY...not a TOY, like some 2 year old. If a dev team puts out a game that I love to play, but then after a few series "dumbs it down" (which seems to be the trend with games now-a-days) I WILL voice my opinion....as I've also done on their website. Plus, I find it funny as hell when people like you say "It's just a game, don't take it seriously". Here's a thought...Anyone who spends $300 on a game console, $60 a year for Live, then $60 for brand new games "takes it pretty serious" in my book. Think about it. Spending well over $400 just to play video games is serious, right? Right. |

On BF3, I can see someone walking over half the map away on Caspian Border. It makes stealth hard, b/c 7/10 you'll be seen and shot. I was like, "Really, damn...these soldiers must have excellent vision these days." Fond, fond memories in BC2. |

All I want Ea is something very simple. To be able to play with my classes in the lobby, or even LEAVE the effing lobby! When i want to switch game modes, I don't want to have to dash or quit out on my team just to get out of the game. I'm not too knowledgable on design but is a quit to menu button in the lobby hard to implement? Or am I an idiot and can't see it?

|Wow, after reading some of the posts on here i'm surprised how many people use certain attachments. I for example have never used the Tac Light, nor do I see the real purpose of it, but it is interesting that other people use it. I've noticed that most Recon users tend to ditch the Bipod in favour of the Straight Pull Bolt once they have it unlocked wheras I actually prefer the Bipod hands down. In a way I find it sad that DICE are even looking at "balancing" attachments as I think that this new fad in online FPSs of "balancing" is pretty ridiculous, particularly in a game like BF3 that advertises its supposed realism. Some guns are more powerful and accurate than others, its how it works. You shouldn't have to stick an 100 round drum magazine on the LSW like in MW2 and MW3 when it only has a 30 round one in real life just for "balancing" (not to mention no bugger uses it anymore, save the Mick Guards), and the cliche in FPS where shotguns have around the same range as a limp dick when in fact the Benelli M3/M1014(or The Combat Shotgun as we call it here in the British Army) has a range of around 30 meters with Buckshot and 140 with Solid Slug loaded. I like and play the game fine how it is. My only real Niggles are the underpowered weapon effects/DPS of certain weapons, specifically some (most) of the Sniper Rifles and LMGs and also a couple of the Assault Rifles and the Launchers, and the fact that you can't do anything in Lobby, even back out, as UnderQuarantine mentioned above. |

Also, they already nerfed the IRNV scope in the only places it should work. It is damn near impossible to use in the dark areas of Operation Metro and Tehran Highway. The fog means you can't see ANYTHING beyond 10 feet in front of you, even if it is a person that should be glowing bright orange. And if the person is more than 30 feet away they no longer glow. I think it is nerfed enough. Any more and DICE would have to completely remove it from the game.
I don't care how many people bitch about it, but I need that thing to see people in this day and age of bland, shades of brown and gray, graphics in modern shooters. Especially when it is night time maps or really dark areas where black is thrown into the mix. Not to mention the lighting engine making it so if you are inside a building looking out and you can't see anything.
I already have to turn the brightness up on all of my games so I can see in the darkened areas with the sort of shading engines out now. All that does in this game is compound those damned Tac Lights and bright sunlight like I am looking at the sun through binoculars.

The range is not over powered, and if it was nerfed, then there would be no point in using it. Just shoot the center of the tac light and kill the user, adapt and survive. @Roose91: I feel you understand the point of Battlefields game engine. weapons in real life have advantages and disadvantages. Equalizing them all renders BF3 nothing more than another worthless installment of CoD. I think a better issue rather than trying to make things equal is simply allowing your squad to join the same damn game. That's my biggest pet peeve.
