Spec Ops: The Line

Action-Packed Spec Ops: The Line Trailer is No Day At the Beach

If you needed any further evidence that Spec Ops: The Line looks like the bee's knees, then this new gameplay trailer - featuring hero John Walker fighting through a ruined Dubai that's falling apart around him - ought to help in convincing you.

Showing off the game's sandy physics and unpredictable environments, the video is action-packed, with sand pouring into every area, whether it's through shattered glass or whether it's dropping our from beneath Walker's feet, leaving him precariously dangling from a precipice.

In short, Spec Ops: The Line is looking in pretty good shape ahead of its tentative spring 2012 release window, but if you want to know more about 2K and Yager's third-person shooter with tough moral choices at its core, then Dan's hands-on preview is the way to go. Check out the trailer first though!

@4. I know all too well. I only got to play a few matches when the beta first came out. After that, I NEVER found more than 1 a day.

That was a great trailer.

I'm still cautiously optimistic for this. I hope it lives up to its potential.

Well in my opinion I had no problem with finding a match in the beta and my only problem with it was the matches kinda dragged on other than that I had a great experience with it.

It looks like it could be a great campaign. I'm not sure about the versus multiplayer, though. Does anyone know if this will have any co-op features?

Looks like uncharted with a little more cover shooting than exploration.

@4 @5 I think you guys missed the message they sent to everyone in the beta. They told everyone who was in the beta to play at the times the developers were playing if you wanted full games. If you were playing at that time you would have found full games. Don't blame the beta because you failed to understand what the developers were doing.

I thought the beta was really good minus the normal beta problems, looking forward to this.

19. What YOU fail to realize is there WAS NO SUCH THING SAID. Maybe those dipstick "developers" should allow those who are invited to the very private beta, to play it whenever they wish. (Even though there was NO SUCH specified times table. Which is just an absurd idea anyway.) Hell, even those limited players who accessed both the Black Ops and MW3 betas were allowed to play AT ANY TIME of the day.

So keep your BS elsewhere.

@20 Sorry, that's not BS, what's BS is when you get a person who blames everything on someone else when they fail to realize what was actually going on. That person thinks the other people are "dipsticks" because you can't understand what they were trying to do.

When you were playing the beta did you ever read any of the messages that appeared on the bottom of the screen in the title menu? No? If you would have you would have seen that message saying when they played.

I'm sorry you feel that developers have to do things exactly like you want but this is their game and they know what they are doing. The developers wanted to try somethings out and get some feed back on it, not demo the game like you seem to think it was. Evidently you can't comprehend this.

Damn straight 22 you got it so right. I don't think Battlefield 3 is everything Its cracked up and neither are the graphics to be but I respect the work they put into it unlike COD and their thing minimal effort in development maximum profits. And as for this going to be epic the action and story look pretty solid plus with Nolan North voicing the main character can it get any better? Well I mainly like the idea behind this game making you feel what real soldiers must feel like COD and Battlefield always make war look like fun and its anything but in reality. And this game takes a very realistic approach to soldiering can't wait gonna be epic!
