Playing as 'the fateless one' in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, you'll not only shape your hero's fate and destiny, but also how they fight. In this latest trailer for the game, there's a look at the combat in more detail, and the number of options available in building your character's unique fighting style.

Will you go for a magical character who can wield spells at all ranges, or will you create a stealthy archer, a barbarian with heavy melee attacks or a blend of multiple styles? Then there's fate energy that you can absorb during battle. Once you've accumulated enough, you can enter a reckoning state to unlock a fate shift kill for spectacular finishing moves using a burst of fate energy.

There's a few tips on tackling various enemy encounters too, with certain approaches being more favourable than others depending on the opponent you're facing.
