Once upon a time, almost every game during the 8-bit/16-bit Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog days was a 2D platformer of some description, whether it was Bubsy the Bobcat or slightly more obscure titles like Puggsy or Cool Spot. Then Rayman came along in 1995, endearing gamers with his floaty limbs and rotor blade hairstyle, and the rest is history. Having been on hiatus for more than a few years though, with Rayman spin-off Raving Rabbids enjoying more of the limelight, has the little wotsit and his buddies still got what it takes in this day and age? Or is time Rayman hung up his white gloves and red neckerchief? | |
