Meh really on the edge about this game. One side I really love the story, but somehow my connectivity with this game is outrageous bad. Waiting for a game can keep up to 7 hours (no kidding). So waiting for a price drop and playing it only for the story is a good option. I really love the story. |

| @3 most modern studios finish the game months before release and send it to production so adequate copies can be made. While I understand your point, day 1 DLC is usually designed post-production but pre-release. Great way for studios to make some extra revenue instead of sitting around not doing anything until the project comes up. |

That's not too shabby. I know a bunch were complaining about the achievement for getting a variety bonus, but I have gotten at least variety, if not greater variety almost each game of manhunt, and I'm not even that good. So I'm actually looking forward to the DLC. I love the changes they've made to this MP and It's exciting to know that I haven't even gotten past the first chapter in SP! |

I got this game today and i'm really disapointed, its exactly the same, as Brotherhood, and that was the same as AC looks like: AC2: was ahead of its time Brotherhood: was on par with time Revalations: past it, over the hill, past its best before date, so on and so forth I really hope they actually improve the game for AC3, otherwise the AC trilogy is gonna end up like the Godfather Trilogy. |

| Going to post without reading the above comments. I don't like multi-player at all except for co-op like Borderlands or Portal 2. I love the Assassin's Creed series. I also an insane about getting 100% on all the games I play. So I tolerated the MP in Brotherhood, and intend to tolerate it in Revelations as well. However, personally/selfishly the announcement of DLC with multi-player achievements kinda pisses me off - It especially feels weird after the ACII single player DLC didn't have achievements at all. Hopefully there are enough people who enjoy the MP that this is worth it for them, but it won't be for me. |

I'm perfectly happy with this, but in my opinion it's just like Batman: Arkham City. Both developers (Ubisoft and Rocksteady) have chosen to go down the route of promoting their secondary attractions, i.e. Multiplayer and Challenge Maps. People DON'T buy these games for those things, maybe 5% (give or take) do with Assassin's Creed but with Batman anyone who says they bought the game for the challenge maps is a lie. Why not just release content for the story such as 'Bonfire of the Vanities' or 'The Da Vinci Disappearance' instead of focussing on a secondary attraction to the game, when 95% to 100% of people bought the game for the amazing story? Just my opinion. Still going to be getting this though because I'm a massive Assassin's Creed fanboy :3 |

@ #14, #16, and #27 - I guess there's no reason for any of you to post in future AC stories then, is there? @ #6 - Why did you capitalize 'crap'? OT: People really need to stop being surprised when DLC is announced so soon after a game comes out. It's been happening for a while now. Besides, in the earlier days of DLC, what did we read on EVERY announcement of new content? "OMG I hatez da greedy M$ and [insert developer and/or publisher's name here, probably with typos]. I already sold/traded my disk and I dont want too ask my mom two buy another copy LULZ OMG!!!!1" Yeah, it was like that a lot. I know every single news story on every video game website has to have someone whining and bitching for whatever reason, but early DLC truly isn't something to get emotional about. No one is forcing you to buy it, and if you really don't like the series for whatever reason, keep in mind that you speak far louder with your wallet than you do by pressing the 'Submit' button on a website. |

@29 What! because I'm disapointed, that they have basically released the same game again. This announcement goes to show that they are putting more empthasise on MP rather than the SP which is what made the first to AC so great. At least i have skyrim |

@10 So why not wait to release a product when the work on it is done? Its not like developers were just sitting around after a game has gone gold on previous generation consoles. check this article: http://www.cracked.com/blog/the-10-most-insulting-things-video-games-charged-money-for/ I found this a very fitting quote: "Instead of trying to make the best possible game, companies are now precisely aiming for "good enough"" |

@30 - Yup. As far as Ubisoft are concerned, AssBro was a hit because of multiplayer, not because of how much better ACII was compared to AC, or that ACII was a massive hit, thus people would be interested in the next game. All they care about now is milking it until it's dry. |

I don't think people understand the thumbs up and thumbs down system and when you're supposed to use them... Anyway, I still haven't played an Assassin's Creed game. I've wanted to, but I haven't gotten around to it. As for DLC, it's obviously retarded to have planned DLC from the start and announcing it when the game comes out. That means it is either on the disc, or they purposely left it out for money. DLC's whole point was to be content that they thought about later, or, fans demanded later, and they made it later. But at least, if nothing else, it isn't too much money. Unlike MvC3 or BlazBlue CS and their prices for ONE character and nothing else. |

@#29: No, I will plan on posting wherever I see fit, just as any member of this site can do. So I guess there is no reason to ask me such silly questions then, is there? OT: The game has been getting fairly low reviews versus past AC titles, which isn't surprising. |

| Nothing is true... except that studios will continue to try and make MPs for single player story-driven games until games likes like CoD and MW3 stop selling 100 trillion dollars worth of games on launch days. |

@ #34 - Fine, whatever. I just don't see the point of going into a news post for the sole purpose of bitching, especially when you've already made up your mind about the topic. As for the comment about reviews, lower yes, but still pretty good. Going from roughly 90% to an 81% is something that Ubisoft can still be proud of. @ #36 - Wait, are you saying that games like Assassin's Creed received its MP additions because Call of Duty sells well? I'm not sure that really makes sense. |

| @37 - That actually is the reason multiplayer gets shoved onto games. Look at Mass Effect 3 too. CoD sells insane numbers, so publishers feel they can do the same by copying their formula. |

| Personally as much as I love the Assassins Creed storyline, its getting worse as far as the gameplay goes. They got the formula PERFECT with AC2, Brotherhood wasnt bad either, but this new one is a lil too overthetop for me albeit good, just not as good. They should have ditched the MP and made the storyline and gameplay simpler. |

It's a shame it's not free. at least it's a lot more content for a lot less than usual. though so many maps and stuff on MP yet hardly any players or at least getting games can take a while, means it's hard to learn maps and play every mode on every map which in a sense is a good thing but it's a bit annoying if you want to get good at one game mode. and remember that the free stuff for brotherhood was coz it would only add like two game modes like alliance. Overall i think Revelations is defintiely in terms of MP and gameplay and graphics is the best AC game yet. but i'd prefer them to spend 2 years on a game with 14 sequences rather than one year on a similar game with shorter story. the SP DLC better be hefty. i've waited for this game for so long and i've already almost finished it... i think people are a bit harsh about this games coz there are alot of awesome memorable moments and it's often very different to a mission you did just before but the story is a little one dimensional. Though i guess AC3 will be a new assassin so if Ezio's first game was 14 sequences, then this new character should be a wealth of new stuff. and i love everything ubisoft have added. i just miss viewpoints. there is no point in them now... but yeah i like den defence and assault. i LOVE the hok blade so much. makes free runing much quicker. you may not realise it but if you go an play the previous games again you'll know what i mean. and i thought i'd absolutely hate bombs and never use them coz the game would be again, the easiest game ever made (brotherhood was freaking easy unless you go for 100%), but the bombs are really really cool. i'd like to get DLC for more comical bombs. lol xD make a sticky rape bomb. all females can't help themselves but swarm the guard xD good way to go i'd say last thing. i hope AC3 improves free running even more. remember prince of persia? the free running on that is awesome. wall running. sliding jumping and ceiling crawling combos. also i want AC2 format. LOTS and LOTS of DIFFERENT cities! not one freaking city with some random others that are counted as entire sequences... fml |
