Muscle Car Battles and Exotic Sprint Racing are two of what we're sure will be many multiplayer modes in Need for Speed: The Run, and they're both shown in this new multiplayer video, which demonstrates the game-modifying Bonus Wheel and some of its effects.

For instance, spinning the wheel might grant you bonus XP for finishing in the top three, or it might deactivate turbo boosting or perhaps it'll grant the winner a new car as a sweet little bonus. The Bonus Wheel does seem to put an interesting spin on races (no pun intended).

The Run is also utilising new matchmaking technology that eliminates the need to hang around waiting in lobbies, instead thrusting you straight into races already in progress.
