Thankfully, I'll definitely continue to pick up another game in the Call Of Duty series thanks to a list that doesn't look like a chore, I game I wasn't sure about has become a dead certainty now...when it drops in price a little ;) |

You had to beat that level without dying and that level was so God darn annoying, must have taken me 4 hours. Now imagine that level, a bit longer, no time limit and a lot less bad dudes per square metre. Challenging? Yep. Impossible? Not even close. Just take your time, and play the first level and do it on Hardened, not Veteran and you should have it done in way less that 5 hours. I like the list, it's doable unlike COD3! |

Everyone can still get 1000 points out of the game, you just wont be able to boost for them. Look at CoD4 all SP achievements, some easy, some hard. Then for MP you still had it's prestige rank system that unlocked gamer card pics and the MP objectives like "How the ???" where you had to shoot through a wall hit an explosive device that killed the person who set it. So if WoW is anything like CoD4 it will be a good time for everyone. For those of you who are judging the game on its achievement list alone, why are you sticking up for GoW2?? There list is lame. |

My philosophy is that if a multiplayer game is good enough, you don't need achievements drawing the whores in. I played over 200 hours of COD4! And I will definitely be picking this one up. I suspect the secret achievements may be multiplayer based, possibly even 10th prestige! |

However I'm not happy at all with these achievements. Like others have said it kind of sucks that they are forcing you to play the game by yourself. Veteran can still be Veteran with friends. Gears for example was an excellent game with excellent co-op play. I would have been pissed if it said Complete Act One on Insane (solo only). Even with a friend Gears on Insane was still a challenge. This is a huge let down in my opinion, why have co-op if you are going to force me to play alone. |

An achievement list doesn't make a game bad, remember the PS2 and N64 and first Xbox? Those consoles didn't have gamerscore and I'm sure there are games on each of those systems that we love. You bunch that only like games for gamerscore need to grow the fuck up and look at games for what they are. FUN. Also, those "solo only" achievements are the same as Call of Duty 4, but nobody cried then. I understand they should have added achievements for playing missions in co-op, but they already do have a few achievements for co-op. From what I heard, you get 1 for playing a campaign in co-op. Solo only achievements actually take SKILL and that's why they are in their own seperate category. |

| Comment #124 by gr101 Sunday, October 12, 2008 @ 08:49:07 AM playing the multiplayer beta now and i'm not impressed. it doesn't have the presence that cod4 had i played it for an hour and got bored of it. best level outta the 3 on offer is the train yard and B.A.R gun. rest is horrible. I do like the scheivements on this hate online multiplayer ach's i love to play the games with the kiddies and mates at home with a beer ( me not kids)but love it that they have the prestiges and challenges to do but need to rank up to 65 before prestiging :( |

Yes it is nice to get high amounts of gamerscore, but with a game like this, its not for the gamerscore, Call Of Duty is fun and should be played for fun all the people that say ' rent at best ' really need to look at themselves as they are not really achieving anything with achievements on the 360. anyways i have the beta and think this game is good, but really going to be the same as CoD4, get boring after a few months. |
