It may be the first rhythm guitar franchise, but it doesn't mean theyre better than GH or RB

The songs in this game are 100% cover versions. And the streak meter maxes out at 999?? Lame.

This seems really strange that a game like this would come out when Rock Band and Guitar Hero are so established

anyone know if the drums/guitar from rb work with it? if not a waste of a game

#5...you're a moron. I'll let you figure out why on your own.

I don't have a clue why they would be dumb enough to release this game around the same time as RB2 and GH4, though...do they really expect people to choose this game over either/both of those? At least those games's instruments are compatible with each other...this game? not so much.

Konami saw that Guitar Hero and Rock Band brought back the whole "Rock your ass off" fad so now they are cashing in on something they started and abandoned. Hilarious ....

@ 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 what is wrong with you peoples?

This game will be fun and I am buying it. Have you guys seen the setlist. Who cares about the achievements in this game. I am getting this because the song list is 200 times better than Rock Band and Guitar Hero combined!

@10

Don't GH and RB have good song already? Like Metallica, Foo Fighters, etc. I consider them good (excellent) bands.

Xx Overkill VR is either a troll or an idiot. maybe even both.

people, PLEASE STOP BUYING THESE GAMES. how many plastic instruments does one person need?

I'm definitely only renting this. Why would I buy a game with 41 songs and all of them covers when I could be buying games with either 86 or 84 with all original recordings?

Do they really want to waste there time on competing with Rock Band and Guitar Hero, like I mean that's just crazy talk.

ok #10 you need to be learned
1)all posts before you didn't even mention the achievements
2)GH and RB have twice as many good songs with DLC as well
3)a lot of those songs are in GH and RB so you can't say its better
4) they're all covers
5)a lot of those songs arent good...sk8er boi???

This game is the demonstration of how little imagination some developers and publishers can have. Rather than come up with a unique idea, they try and capitalize on games that are successful and ride on their coattails. It doesn't matter if they invented the genre, they abandoned it for five years and it took off without them. Now they try and get back on the bandwagon with a less polished product than rock band 2, a shallower game than GH:WT, and a worse setlist than either. What was the point of investing all that time and energy into a game people will (correctly) write off and ignore before they even play it, and with good reason.

Stupid Konami

They started the rhythm thing and never localized their guitar freaks for america and now they're shooting themselves in the foot and they release this abomination

Note: Sony and Microsoft went on the record to state that all three games' instruments are compatible with each other.

Having said that, I'm thinking i'll buy the Rock Band 2 game and instruments plus a standalone GHWT guitar. This way I can have 4 ppl play and if you buy the rockband game you'll automatically get 20 songs free in DLC. Woohoo!!

im just glad they did not make achievements for specific instuments like rock band. not everyone can afford every instrument Rock Band!

Epic fail from Konami... And look at the frets, it's Red, Yellow, Orange, BLue and Green, another fail with that! And why the Orange fret is different shaped than the others?

too #22 thats a bad idea.

I played both rock band 2 and GH:WT at pax.

in my opinion rock band was a more fun game, they took their original idea and just superbly polished it. GH:wt feals like a very cheap rip off of the rock band game BUT the new GH drums are WAAAAAAAY better then the rock band drums, they are quieter, presser sensitive and the added cymbals make drumming feel mor natural. However the GH:wt guitar is lame. the slide bar really feels like and epic fail.

for me ill probably buy all 3 games just because i really enjoy all music/rythem games. but im down with my GH drums and RB guitar.

You'll only forward the global warming if you'll buy this crap game and its plastic second-rate guitars. The only good thing in this game is its box art, there's nothing else.

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
