Yesterday saw the vast majority of the publishers wrapping things up on the press side and head for the peaceful pastures of home which ultimately meant that it would be a manic day for us. It was our last chance really to get in and see some of the titles on show behind closed doors before we were cast out in to the jam packed public arena, left to fend for ourselves.

The day started well for us getting some hands on time with Mirror’s Edge, HAWX and Dead Space which we all have some HD footage of and will be putting it up when we are home with a reliable connection. The three are very fun and different games which all look stunning. It’s great to see such a vast array of variety and  quality games on the show floor.

After the hands on, I had an appointment to see the behind closed doors showing of Dead Space which featured the showing of an exclusive level previously unseen and we got to see some pretty intense combat and some zero gravity areas. Very suave!

The rest of the day saw me catching up on some more Fallout 3 (I love this game!), Operation Flashpoint 2, Damnation, FUEL, Rise of the Argonauts and the hugely impressive Project Origin amongst others.

Meanwhile, Minty and RX were doing the rounds on the show floor waving their press passes to get some hands on time with Race PRO, Saints Row 2, Red Faction Guerrilla, Red Alert 3, LEGO Batman, Tomb Raider Underworld and others.

Friday for us was a manic day, but all the appointments and such are behind us now and we’ll be travelling the show floor as a consumer for the weekend. Tomorrow, we hearby announce it booth babe day where we’ll snap pics of the huge array of talent on the show floor because come on, everyone loves booth babes!

Again, previews, videos, screens and booth babes are coming when normality returns but that’s about it as far as diary updates go. Watch this space though. Next week we’ll be doing a few features on the games and the convention itself.
