Things on Wheels - Design An Achievement Contest

Calling all achievement addicts, Load Inc needs your help. Their upcoming XBLA title, Things on Wheels is nearing the end of its production cycle but they still need your help on a few things, namely the achievements. Who better to help design some of the achievements for a game than the biggest achievement crowd on the internet? So bring your imagination and a whole tub of exhuberance and get in on the act. More details after the jump.

Things on Wheels, developed by Load Inc who made Mad Tracks and published by SouthPeak Interactive, allows gamers to take control of their own RC car and race it around 20 different tracks. Players will have 12 cars to choose from as they race around various rooms of the house which include a disco and a mini movie theatre [I wish my house had them!] The game supports up to 4 players over XBL and gamers even have the chance to make use of 4 different powerups available.

Load Inc have given the lucky users of this site, the chance to get their suggestions for achievements taken seriously. On June 6th, Load Inc will be going through the comments of this here competition to look for two achievement suggestions that will make it in to the final version of the game, even better, you'll get named in the credits as a prize. A prize money can't buy... Unless you have enough to buy out Load Inc... But this is by far a more viable option.

Two achievements that are in the final game already are as follows:

Find the Mad Tracks car
Play a co-op game with a real player (Live or splitscreen)

So get your thinking cap on and leave us your achievement suggestions in the comments. Be creative, be original, makes us proud dammit!

	Thanks for playing (10G)- A random achievement that you get just for playing. Randomly pops up after 2-8 hours of non-continuous play. Battery Killer (10G)- Achieve a record high speed. Racer's Dozen (20G)- Win a race against a live opponent in a ranked match with each car. Possibly unlock a 13th car.

	Faster Than You - 20g Manage to keep a mean of 100mph in a tournament (or anything that involves a few races). Show-off - 10g Cross the finish line on two wheels (or upside down). 360 - 5g Do a 360 flip airborne. Not again - 10g Destroy the same opponent 3 times in a single race. 	One suggestion first. This time, don't have pointless achievements where you have to win 10 times in a row on the same course. It's just such a time waster, just make more time trial challenges etc. Oh and also it'd be nice to have the rest of the achievement points on Mad Tracks become available. You might as well make some achievements for the downloadable track packs as well. Lock and Load (5G): Discover and use all power-ups. RC Bandit (5g): Steal an opponents special power-up. Top Gear (10g): Reach speeds of ...mph. Sleuth (10g): Find all shortcuts. UFO (5g): Become airbourne for ...ft. Salt and Peppy (5g): Do a barrel roll! Not great, but that's all I could think of!

	You made a good move when you decided to ask help from the achievement collectors. Well, first of all, the achievements must not be too hard. Many Arcade games have too hard, almost impossible achievements and they ruin the games a bit. Achievements must be fun and easy enough to get. I know no Arcade game yet with too easy achievements. 	short movie - finish "movie theater track" in under xx:xx minutes. disco inferno - set your opponents on fire 3 times on "disco track" (could also be "hit your opp. with the rocket launcher 3 times... etc.) r.c. pro am - finish all tracks in 1st place or get all gold medals, etc. can't touch this - repell enemy attacks 3 times with a shield powerup on one track batteries not included - finish 100 consecutive laps on "track xyz" or play the game for xx hours. insurance fraud - crash your car into walls 10 times with a minimum speed of xx mph/kmh and still win the race. i eat losers for breakfast - win the "kitchen track" in under xx:xx minutes. grandpa - finish a track only using your first gear your driving me insane - complete a whole race driving backwards spee

	Part 2 of my list. I'll Be There For You (10G) - Play a co-op game with a real player (Live or splitscreen) Ride The LIVE-ning (15G) - Win 10 Xbox LIVE ranked matches. Puzzle Achievements - Just Like in PGR4 where you have to a certain something to gain the achievements and Load Inc. could give some tips or not, but it would make it interesting. I would have - Dance Floor Fever (15G) Before Unlock - Get on the dancefloor and show your moves and still win. After Unlock - You did a 360 on the dancefloor and still won the race. Just Like In The Movies (15G) Before Unlock - Your on the big screen and you have been turned the wrong way, do what any movie star would do to turn the other way and still win the race against the odds. (Obviously they could shorten that lol)

	Grrr, it seems there's a character limit. To pick up where I left off: Not Bird nor Plane nor Even Frog (kudos to those how catch the reference)-5G Stay in the air for 2 secs Cheaters Never Prosper-0G Pick One: 1)Player incorrectly enters cheat code 2)Player correctly enters cheat code 3)If there are no cheat codes, make a fake cheat entry screen and award this achievement when the player tries to use said screen. Quitters Are Losers (or some saying about quitting that I'm unaware of)-0G Quit the game during a race They(or Weebles if you can legally use it) Wobble but Don't Fall Down-5G Flip your car but land on the wheels. 	I've got a 4 race no claims bonus (20G)- Win 4 races in a row without hitting any objects or oppositions. Reach the peak, The South Peak (15G)- Beat all Track Time Records set by the developers. Dirty Dancing (5G)- Use a power up on an opponent to steal victory on the Disco track. Third times the charm (25G)- Race on every track 3 times. First Down(10G)- Travel 10 yards (or whatever the scale it is e.g inches cm?) in a single jump.
