The Great Buku Sudoku Achievement Race
The Great Buku Sudoku Achievement Race
Written Tuesday, May 27, 2008 by Webb

In order to commemorate the release of the XBLA title, Buku Sudoku, we have got together with Merscom to create a competition of epic proportions. The top prize for one very lucky person in the US is a fantastic  40” HD TV that weighs in with a retail price at over $1200!! There are also some cool runner up prizes which are mentioned below.

Buku Sudoku brings the worldwide Sudoku phenomenon to the Xbox LIVE Arcade while adding innovative competitive and cooperative play features.

Buku Sudoku uses three key features of the XBLA platform to create the best console Sudoku experience. First, the native HD resolution of the 360 allows for an easy to read grid with pencil marks. Secondly, the controller’s triggers and thumbsticks make for a very fast entry method, a usual barrier with electronic Sudoku games. Thirdly, the unique XBLA service allows for multiplayer experiences never before witnessed in a Sudoku game. All of this is wrapped up in a cohesive graphical style that manages to offer something for all users. In a similar fashion, multiple puzzle sizes, difficulties, control schemes, and tutorials offer appeal to any player whether totally new or a veteran.

The press release for the competition can be found here in the news section.

What do you have to do? Well, that’s simple...

A drawing will be held two weeks after launch among players who earn all 200 achievement points, with the winner receiving a Samsung LN40A550 40” television. An additional five players who complete all the achievements win a copy of Scene-It? Lights, Camera, Action for the Xbox 360™ that also leverages the Big Button Wireless Controller.

Check out the achievement list for the title here. Think you can do it?

Once you have the 200/200 achievement points for the title, sign up in the sign up thread with your gamertag and you could be in with the chance to win an amazing prize.

Competition Rules

1.    All entrants must be residents of the United States.
2.    One entry per user.
3.    Post your gamertag in the thread here when you have all 200 points.
4.    Everyone that enters must have the 200 points visible on Xbox.com (so that means, online and stats not hidden).
5.    Sign up ends on the June 11th at 2:00pm PST

Good luck everyone

Ugh, I'm so sick of listening to people ***** every time there is a contest because the prize isn't offered to their region. There are contests for all different regions all the time on this site. Sometimes it's UK only, sometimes it's USA only, sometimes it's everyone. So shut the **** up already, because another contest will be coming soon.

As for the contest, nice prize, but I'm not sure I want to buy another Sudoku game (I already have Sudoku Gridmaster on the DS which I almost never play) just to enter. And I know I'll be distracted by LEGO Indiana Jones anyway...
