All it basically does is act as the VGA cable does which is why you need the optical cable for audio. If I am completely mistaken please let me know. I haven't read the stuff on their personal website yet since usually its all marketing words anyway. I hope this works out for people that need it. I know I'm going to try and enter.

Nope. I got a Premium unit right after the price drop, which included the new HDMI port. I'm golden. Thanks for asking, though. :) I also highly doubt that this is "the most useful accessory mankind has ever seen." I mean, come on. It sounds like a great thing to have, but this is a Mad Catz product we're talking about here. Maybe if any other company in the universe made it, it'd be good.

	Comment #3 by pfnorz Monday, May 05, 2008 @ 07:21:15 PM Not really that great of a deal. For that price, you can almost get a brand new Box with an HDMI port. Furthermore, you won't be able to tell a difference in picture quality whether you are playing in 720p or 1080p.
