| Similar to Age of Empires Online, the core game here will be free. Check out microsoftflight.com on February 29th to download it. I am not 100% sure that I have broken up every achievement included in the premium content though. The Adventure Pack comes with one extra plane (Vans RV-6A), as well as new challenges and missions, so some of the other achievements may tie into it - I'll try to confirm that next week. There are two other planes that will be available day one as well, but it appears only one has an achievement tied to it. The other plane (North American P-51 Mustang) will be available for 640MSP, but it does not include "cockpit view" which is why is is a bit cheaper than the Maule M-7-260C (1200MSP - one achievement tied to it). | ||

| @13 Download from GFWL marketplace (on Xbox.com) only. I was in the beta, it's a great game, but jeezus, 2800MSP for two packs for 500G is ridiculous. Not gonna happen microsoft. Beta tester now says no, when Beta tester said yes. It's a great game...BUT not great enough for me to spend over £20 on 'plane DLC'. What's next, Hot Air Balloon? Microsoft Float? | ||

| @14 Lets work it out here. 2800 ms points is... 40 bucks. A typical PC game costs 49-59. Fun fact, buying all of AoE online when it first came out also cost around 40-50 bucks. And you were paying for 'armies', much like you're paying for planes. You're saying 'what?!?!? im paying for plane DLC to be able to have a complete achievement list?!?!?!'. Except rather than give out some timed demo nonsense like has been the way for years, MS with AoE and now MS Flight are giving you the full game, just with restrictions. Personally, I prefer this method over your typical 'demo'. The number one reason I used to pirate games was because I hated having my time in-game cut short. What if the rest of the game was crap and they were just showing me the super awesome first five minutes... like companies have been extremely prone to do. This is a much better way of doing it. I'm just saying. You're seeing it as pricey. Im seeing the current cost of owning the *game* to be really no more than other PC games out there. | ||

| #16, I agree with you whole heartily, but MS is making a huge mistake. As much as I hate to admit it, they are giving away too much content. You can't give away pretty much an entire game, than make people pay $15 for a single plane. People just won't buy it, they'd be content with the majority of the game for nothing. Anyway, I plan on getting a good 400 GS on this game, like I do every game, quick easy 400 - 700 and then rent another! | ||

| For those who are unfamiliar with this and just kind of follow games that have achievements: Flight is the new FSX, which is not a game you play to get an easy 1000. It's hardly really a game at all so these achievements are more like actual achievements than any other game since you're supposed to use Flight to learn. If you're coming into this and complaining about expensive DLC, just know that Flight is not FOR you. As for the cost of the DLC planes and challenges, I refer you to Train Simulator 2012. That game has over $1500 in DLC for train models. See, THAT is expensive. But if you play train or flight simulators, you're not doing it for the gamerscore. | ||

| Good stuff. You still get a full game for what 2800MSP. And you get the majoity of the game for free. Can't wait to try this one out. That being said, they should have maybe put out free 200GS or so and split the DLC in smaller (easier to swallow for some) bites, for peopel to pick up. Either way I'll be getting the DLC if the game i fun. People need to see this as more than just "charging for GS". Even if that last DLC is just tied to one plane. | ||

| @32 If I was sheeple, I'd be happy when companies showed me ten minutes of the choiciest parts of a game as a 'demo' and then run out to buy the final product. I just admitted to previous piracy to avoid that, and now I dont have to 'steal' a game to see the whole product before I slap money down. How is this not a better method? And how is 40 dollars worth of DLC on a to flush the free game out any different than spending 49.99 on an off the shelf retail copy of something, especially once expansions and DLC start appearing for the retail? If people feel like they are being ripped off, they wont buy any of it. I haven't played it yet, but thanks to getting the game for free, Im willing to at least try without turning to a torrent. | ||

| #40 It's doesn't look all that great with ultra or maximum settings (what ever they decided to call the max settings). Still the free portion of the game is pretty fun, half the time though I'm either stalling and spinning out followed by a crash. | ||

| @ #42 You do realize that this is a PC game in a genre that has typically been 100% PC oriented. Should it surprise you that it is on, wait for it, only the PC. Yes you need a decent computer to play this. If you have the money to go out and buy a new PC to play a free game, you shouldn't complain about paying for DLC for a free game. Keep an open mind about stuff like this people. $40 worth of "DLC," that is actually DLC and not a small unlock, for a game that was initially free? What's next, game companies saying, we'll release our game for $40 instead of $60 and people will say, "Oh that's too high ... it should be more like $20" ... | ||

| @42 'Gay' is used by an insult by young children that know no other and those who have a low IQ. Alienware is just a relatively high-spec Dell with lights on it and an overinflated price, not a byword for quality. You don't have to buy any DLC for 70% of the achievements, which as your on this website is what your interested in. Plus its a flight simulator, your evidently the sort of person that would pack in playing it after 3 seconds after you call it a homosexual because its not to your tastes. | ||
