| I remember a while back I played a beta for Spec Ops: The Line and didn't find it at all enjoyable. It's been a long time though so I hope it's shaping up better than it was then. Rest of the list looks great but my #1 for 2012 is Guild Wars 2 on PC. |

| @Webb - I have to agree with #6. SSX is the first "must buy" of the year for me. BioShock Infinite and Tomb Raider are also on that list as well as Diablo 3 (I wish there was more info about this potential console version). Hitman and a couple others are on there as well. |

@#11 - Well, I've had the pleasure of playing both the new version and the old SSX games. Doesn't feel like SSX to me. Not saying it's a bad game or anything, or it might not be good, but I'm fairly sure it won't be what SSX fans want. I agree with Diablo 3 though, IF it comes *fingers crossed*

is GTA V defo confirmed for this year? (slipping pending) i haven't heard a thing since the trailer, would like to know if i missed something, but if we don't know it'll be this year, we can't really include it in this kind of montage can we?

2. Asura's Wrath (it'll be mediocre at best, but its the funniest damn game I've seen in my life...played the demo multiple times through already)
3. AC3 (or whatever they title it)
4. Kingdoms of Amalur
5. Borderlands/Tomb Raider/Witcher 2 (still waiting on more info on these)
Still going to be a great year for games (already enjoying FFXIII-2) and a bad year for my wallet. Lets get it on. |

MGS Collection and the Devil May Cry Collection will be GREAT to add to any gamers collection, also my fingers will be cross the Grid 2 pops up at some point. Res 6 will be huge, Halo 4 will end up being after xmas as not to clash with COD and Rainbow six would be in the top 20

I have yet to see anyone say anything about Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six Patriots. Two great franchises produced by a great company. Oh and I have to agree with the people mentioning Kingdom Of Amalur...it played bloody brilliant. It's a new franchise with a game that is likely to be the sleeper of the year...

I have no 'ordered' list, but I am most looking to:
- Resident Evil 6
- Bioshock: Infinite
- Silent Hill Downpour (because I'm crazy)
- Alan Wake's American Nightmare
- Warp
- Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii)
And a handful of 3DS games, even though I do not own a 3DS. Also a couple of Wii games if they actually hit US...
If Fez comes this year, that's on the list for sure.
Borderlands 2, Halo 4, Max Payne 3, Lollipop Chainsaw, Operation Raccoon City, GTA5 (if coming this year) are all runners up.
I honestly do not know why people are excited for "The Last of Us". It looked like it was trying to emulate the joy of the Dead Island trailer and all it did was provide a really bizarre looking Ellen Page who isn't nearly as cute.
I also don't think Tomb Raider looks that good. I mean, graphically, holy crap, yes. But I wasn't impressed with the footage we saw at E3. But that's just me.

| Most of the games look the same to me. Guns, guns, and some kicking. I like how all 20 are violent and bloody (or very violent). That one game with the tentacled guy that took someone's spine out looks entertaining, though. And can't wait at all for Bioshock Infinite... thought it was supposed to come out a few days ago. :( |

The Modern Warfare franchise has really screwed up the video games industry. I love shooters (they are my favorite genre), but there are FAR, FAR too many of them now. Every single studio wants to cash in on that big fat cow, and innovation is going out the door in many cases in favor of guns, guns, and more guns.
8 out every of 10 major releases these days seems to be about shooting. Sad. |

Is anyone else excited for risen 2 I realize the first one didnt do that well but it has that old gothic feeling to it and I enjoyed playing through it.

| Too bad... nobody seems to like racing games. I am a fan of these and sadly, the gaming scene is now overcrowded by shooters and RPGs. I will rent Ridge Racer Unbounded real soon and I want to put my hands on Dirt Showdown as well. Wonder what happened with Test Drive Ferrari Legends. |

The few i am still looking forward to are:
1. Rocksmith... have seen gameplay from the lucky americans and can not wait for UK launch.
2. Future Soldier.... i a going to re-buy kinekt just to have fun on gun smith
3. Halo 4... just to see how 343 do on their own game rather than just refurbing the original (and in my eyes still best).
4. F1 2012 ..... no reason i just wanna drive a silver arrow mercedes really quickly around monaco. |
