As a bit of a change this year, rather than just bombard you with our Game of the Year winners and runners up, we thought we'd give you an insight into how we actually come up with our winners and such. It's a relatively straightforward process, that involves multiple stages.
Firstly, we draw up a draft list of more than 5 nominees for all categories of any game we think worthy of a mention. It's a stage that's open to all staff members and it's a case of, the more, the better. Then it's just a case of whittling them down to our final 5. From there, with input from various senior X360A staff members, we choose our winner and two runners up. Interesting, right? Well, not really, but this year for our first time ever, we thought we'd give you a look at the shortlist for each category and then when the results drop on December 31st, you'll not only have an idea of how we whittled it down, but you'll also essentially see our honourable mentions... which is pretty neat.
Without further ado, the nominees for our 13 categories are as follows:
Check back on the 31st to see our eventual winners.
