| Comment #1 by Murn Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 09:35:06 PM Hmm... not too sure about this. The Rugby League game on the original Xbox was a bit... average. And isn't it a bit risky, making a game that only Aussies, and in smaller cases, New Zealanders and English would buy? | |
| Comment #2 by KiRvBall Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 09:38:57 PM 1st maybe never gonna play this game though | |
| Comment #3 by BOPho3nix Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 10:00:40 PM Oh heck yeah! This looks like the best Rugby game for the 360 yet! | |
| Comment #4 by marsman48 Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 10:09:31 PM Lots of other people play or watch Rugby. | |
| Comment #5 by danjs84 Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 10:10:28 PM go the warriors | |
| Comment #6 by xPISTOLWHIPPEDx Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 10:11:02 PM Finally its about time they made a game that is not made for an american audience. NFL Rest IN PEACE its time for some REAL FOOTBALL!!! | |
| Comment #7 by Aussie27Legend Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 10:17:25 PM The first two games, while dodgy as hell, were pretty damn fun. This is a pick-up for any real Australian gamer! | |
| Comment #8 by Aussie27Legend Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 10:18:56 PM Wait, I get an achievement for LOSING the grand final? God 'a fucking damnit. | |
| Comment #9 by Septic Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 10:19:26 PM Go the dragons. A must for any rugby league fan. | |
| Comment #10 by KillerBEA Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 10:31:42 PM I hope this is region free so I can import it to the states :) Looks simple enough, just kinda grinding wins and such. rugby>nfl | |
| Comment #11 by big red marino Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 10:39:02 PM I live in the US and play on a NTSC machine...how do i get this game? | |
| Comment #12 by In Flames Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 10:45:57 PM @6 and @10 seriously NFL > Rugby league, Rugby union on the other hand could contend but NFL is heaps good. I hope that this game will be good, the rugby league 3 game on the wii was the worst thing that i have ever played. | |
| Comment #13 by In Flames Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 10:48:12 PM for the state of origin domination achievement, i think the safest bet is to choose QLD, after all they have been dominating origin for 5 years now. | |
| Comment #14 by KillerBEA Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 11:33:15 PM @12 I am saying I prefer rugby over NFL, both are good though. | |
| Comment #15 by Shelton Friday, July 30, 2010 @ 11:56:52 PM I dare say this game will be region locked. Therefore, those in America who wish to play will need to import a PAL console. It's not the worst list I've ever seen. However,I wish it was mandatory to have 50 achievements. Even if they're awarded for minor things, it's nice to be rewarded often whilst you play. Strange that it rewards you for losing, high tackles and knock-ons... Many premierships for my almighty Raiders I foresee on my quest to 300 wins. @12-Opinion, not fact. Will be buying this on release. | |
| Comment #16 by Tranquilbez Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 12:57:54 AM Dare I say it but this the only thing That the Melbourne Storm Fans can see their team in the Grand Final. Newcastle Knights To win the Grand Final :D | |
| Comment #17 by Kyanite Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 01:40:31 AM @ #2 How you can fail so hard with so few words is beyond me. @ #6 Rest in peace NFL? Ha ha ha ha, yeah right. The NFL makes multi-billions every year and doesn't show any signs of slowing down within the next two decades. You can like what you like, but this game would have to be better than all the previous sports games of any sport combined to make a dent in the juggernaut that is the NFL. It's strange, but the only thing thing I really know about Rugby is that the only time it was ever in the Olympics, America won the gold medal. Oh well, the achievements look decent and a bit strange. I would like to give a rugby game a shot just to see what it's all about. Perhaps this will be the one. | |
| Comment #18 by Agusta1 Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 03:24:19 AM @#8 Just save your Game before the grand final. Then Simulate. Logically Assuming you can knock alot of these achievements out of the way Via simulation. | |
| Comment #19 by psycotic wookie Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 03:33:18 AM cannot wait for this game, the original xbox games were real fun, come on u saints | |
| Comment #20 by Menzeldinho Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 03:43:05 AM #2 fails... this game looks interesting, but rugby games never really do that well | |
| Comment #21 by CaptainKicker Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 04:05:59 AM looks cool | |
| Comment #22 by fraz Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 05:25:40 AM when does this game actually come out? | |
| Comment #23 by Sakura4600 Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 06:32:21 AM OMG YES A RUGBY GAME!! but i dnt know if ill get it, will have to wait for gameplay etc.. | |
| Comment #24 by DEAD 3Y3 TBONE Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 06:44:06 AM Woot! Can't wait for this game, as a proud New Zealand (Warriors) fan, i prefer Rugby League a thousand times over Rugby Union and NFL. Its the most exciting game around :) | |
| Comment #25 by AztecYoshi Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 07:08:35 AM I want a union game :( | |
| Comment #26 by TacticalTodger Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 07:35:50 AM Looks like an easy 900+GS. P.S @2: You fail. | |
| Comment #27 by horses mcgee Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 07:45:39 AM fraz, according to wikipedia, and i know its not the most reliable source, september 2/3rd. | |
| Comment #28 by Chiaroscuro Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 08:11:08 AM Is this Australia only? Or it will be available in Europe / US? | |
| Comment #29 by Chiaroscuro Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 08:13:11 AM Got my answer: It’ll be released on September 2 in Australia, New Zealand, France and the UK. | |
| Comment #30 by Shipley0110 Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 08:36:12 AM How come there is still no where to discuss this game in the forums?? | |
| Comment #31 by jeter89 Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 08:49:34 AM i hope other games don't start having those "get all other achievements" like platinum trophies for the PS3 | |
| Comment #32 by Captain Spacker Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 09:15:26 AM My paralysed rugby fanatic brother is jumping for joy, well not quite, but you know what I mean | |
| Comment #33 by Minty Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 09:58:24 AM Love having a rugby game coming out.... not a fan of the achievements though. Achievements for knock ons, fouls and losing a final? Why? "Hey you suck, have some points". And win 300 games is going to take a while. | |
| Comment #34 by ScottCorno1987 Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 10:17:11 AM Hasn't been a decent rugby game since Jonah Lomu on PS1 | |
| Comment #35 by SolidSnake2000 Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 10:35:48 AM lolwut? | |
| Comment #36 by isw42 Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 10:55:35 AM I sincerely hope they either make this region free or release an NTSC version. I am an American and I love rugby! | |
| Comment #37 by Epic Debaser Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 12:19:44 PM YES! Made my day this news. Now I can finally make Wakefield win the Super League. Good times. :D | |
| Comment #38 by Simlaurel Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 01:17:42 PM Amusing how people use this game as a chance to rant about how much better Rugby is over the NFL. | |
| Comment #39 by iiDaRReN316x Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 01:50:28 PM fux to the win 300 games | |
| Comment #40 by Shelton Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 02:44:39 PM @#17- Sorry, but that never happened. I know Americans are generally really good at sports, but they wouldn't beat Australia, New Zealand or Great Britain in a game of Rugby. @#18- Hopefully simulating nulls the achievements. Would make them far too easy to achieve. Saving and loading seems viable, but you need 300 wins anyway, so you may as well play several seasons 'legit'. The release date is confirmed for Australia and New Zealand as the 2nd of September. Last I saw (in the RLL forums) the UK date was still up in the air. Very excited for this game. Hope it is good! | |
| Comment #41 by Aceman417 Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 03:44:02 PM @16 Yes, GO THE KNIGHTS! God, I love being a Newcastle boy. But this game is gonna be really, good, the first 2 on PS2 and Xbox were good and it would be un-australian not to own this. | |
| Comment #42 by ninja monkey Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 08:05:15 PM Yes finally NRL is coming over to the 360 this is what I've been looking forward to since I got a 360. Go Warriors! | |
![]() | Comment #43 by Thommo619 Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 08:25:22 PM Been looking forward to a new league game for a long time, only way i can finally see cronulla win the gf this way too :D |
| Comment #44 by Justin11 Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 08:29:00 PM its league not rugby, union is shit | |
| Comment #45 by Kyanite Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 10:30:37 PM Ah, it looks like I was slightly mistaken. Rugby has been an Olympic sport more than once, but America won the gold the last two times it was included. | |
| Comment #46 by FX114 Sunday, August 01, 2010 @ 12:09:34 AM @40 "The fifteen-a-side version of Rugby Union was last played at the Olympic Games in Paris 1924, with the United States winning the gold medal, defeating France in the final 17-3." Looks like it's going to be a part of the 2016 games, though. | |
| Comment #47 by Justin11 Sunday, August 01, 2010 @ 01:34:14 AM @46 theres a world cup every few years and i havent seen USA doing to well | |
![]() | Comment #48 by St Helens RLFC Sunday, August 01, 2010 @ 02:02:55 AM OMG YESSSSSSSSSSSS cannot wait for this game, as im a massive fan of St Helens Rugby League this is deffo a 1000/1000 game :D BRING ON THE PIES LOL |
| Comment #49 by Septic Sunday, August 01, 2010 @ 02:04:53 AM Rugby League has 13 players on the field. Rugby Union has 15 players on the field. Two different games with similar rules. Rugby League is the greatest sport of all. | |
![]() | Comment #50 by St Helens RLFC Sunday, August 01, 2010 @ 02:59:47 AM @49 100% agree, union is for fat ppl who just kick a ball all the time an just push in a scrum league FTW :D, who you support ??? |
| Comment #51 by AlmightyBronco Sunday, August 01, 2010 @ 03:37:53 AM First of all this isnt rugby. Thats what rugby union fans call their sport. This is the far superior sport of rugby league. GO BRONCOS! QUEENSLANDA!!! | |
| Comment #52 by AlmightyBronco Sunday, August 01, 2010 @ 03:39:19 AM Btw this is not game #3. Rugby League 3 is a Wii game. | |
| Comment #53 by WithTheDawn Sunday, August 01, 2010 @ 05:43:05 AM I'm sure to get this at some point, but not for full price. Might wait a couple of months and grab it pre-owned. I really like the idea of a Rugby League game on the 360 though, unless it is inherently broken then I'll probably play it fairly often. Good to see sports other than soccer and American sports get a 360 game for once as well... Some weird achievements though, several negative ones (for knocking the ball on, losing GF, performing high tackles, etc). Some reasonable ones in there though, should be fun to get them all. | |
![]() | Comment #54 by simon0706 Sunday, August 01, 2010 @ 11:16:04 AM this game will be about as popular as a salad on a fat girls dinner plate. |

| Comment #64 by pvtkjoe117 Tuesday, August 03, 2010 @ 04:39:27 PM At #55, High Five. You are correct. | |
| Comment #65 by squallwindlord Tuesday, August 03, 2010 @ 04:52:22 PM Yes!!! I can`t believe it!!! I think I won't ever see a rugby game. Surely, it won't be developed in Spain, but english market is the solution. I hope it buys a lot, not only in european and oceanic countries | |
| Comment #66 by All Play Dead Tuesday, August 03, 2010 @ 11:55:30 PM all of you nfl lovers can blow me rugby is the REAL MAN'S SPORT. when the football players take their pads off then you can say something till then suck it! and for the record there are people in the ol' usa that love rugby, love drinking and singing, and love beating a%^!!! | |
| Comment #67 by IconicGherkin Wednesday, August 04, 2010 @ 09:10:36 AM 17# Even Wales send our second string rugby team to play you yanks(we always win)! | |
| Comment #68 by ManaByte Wednesday, August 04, 2010 @ 10:51:43 AM Is this going to be region free? There are Rugby fans in the US. | |
| Comment #69 by Simlaurel Wednesday, August 04, 2010 @ 12:32:19 PM @66...Sorry clown, I know rugby is a physical game, and I've seen some pretty decent open field tackling in the sport, but people in rugby aren't getting blown up like they do in the NFL | |
| Comment #70 by psycotic wookie Thursday, August 05, 2010 @ 02:58:30 AM #69 search on youtube for rugby league big hits and watch some of the big tackles that happen, remember these men dont wear pads, and these tackles are classed as dangerous in rugby union, thats why rugby league is the hardest team sport around | |
| Comment #71 by Tiddy08 Friday, August 06, 2010 @ 12:23:58 PM Getting this lol | |
| Comment #72 by R3TARDSLY3R Sunday, August 08, 2010 @ 03:27:09 AM go panthers!!!!! | |
