By the way, ten bucks is heavy money for you? Anyway, I wonder if the typo in the description for "100 MORDEN Soldiers" is actually how it's going to appear. Either way, this will be a pain to get the 200 in but will likely be a fun ride! Metal Slug has almost always been a good-to-great series, and I can't wait to at least check out the demo.

I'm just saying it would have been better having a compilation disc priced for 20 or 30 bucks with a bunch of MS games rather than spanning out a bunch of digital entries that eat up my memory, have no collector value, and will evaporate once XBL for the 360 is shut down. Besides, the biggest draw to this over the PSP/DS version are achievements and online play, but how long to you expect to be able to find a partner online after the game comes out?

I really would rather have games on a disc for the same reasons you said, and I'd even pay full price for this game if it were (i did for the individual ps2 ports of 3, 4, 5, and 6 when they first came out). unfortunately, $10 seems to be the maximum amount that 99% of people would pay for a low resolution 2D game that they can credit feed their way through in about an hour. it would cost a lot more to get all of the metal slug games running on the 360 and even if it was a compilation everyone would still expect it to be budget priced, even though these games are better than most of the garbage that gets released these days...

Even the 100 soldiers if they are like the cards in MS Advance, were the cards only counted, if you passed the level without using a continue. I remember how hard THAT was >.> But getting through a MS game without a continue is near impossible.

Metal Slug is epic..this is a day one buy for me. but i do agree that a disk with a bunch of games should come out...like with the ps...how it had like 6 metal slugs right?

I remember trying to collect those cards too, that last level in the maze tunnels! And at least on that version you had an energy bar ... at least I think so, been ages since played it. Still this game will be class!

I don't know why snk change the achievments in so easy!! If somebody looks for a coop ms3 session: Finsch is the xbox live name!! Shame on snk for those easy achievments...

They wouldn't have been AS bad if it wasn't for the fact that there wasn't a level select. so in order to beat a level without dying you had to start from the beginning of the game for a slip up! i suppose that's part of the challenge though! I can't wait! when does this come out? I loved metal slug 7 for game boy
