The achievement list doesn't look that good, the one that puts me off most is that Beat the first Tournament without dying, does that actually mean if you die in that you'll never get it unless you delete your save and restart?

One method is the start-stop method. This will train your dragon to know that when he gets the urge to end his task, to fight that urge and carry on.
