#2, games of this style tend to have English text in the menus (although Japanese descriptions of what the menu items do) so the achievements are basically stating game mode options needed to qualify for them, which will be in English in-game.

I just checked out a video on youtube, and this game looks like an Xbox live arcade game, complete with Borders on the left and right of the actually "game screen"...Yet it has 50 achievements and is being released as a full game? Play-asia lists it at...US: $72.90...WHAT??

They have the borders because the coin-op machines in Japan have tall screens in Japan. Every shooter for the past 15 years has been this way. (If you are playing on a PC monitor that you can rotate you can actually change the settings in most games to fill the full screen)

These are hardly XBLA games, SHMUPs have huge budgets in Japan. People don't like em here in the states cause they are too "hard". The only reason we had Trigger Heart and Ikaruga released on XBLA is because those games are 5-10 years old and did not warrant a re-release.

If it was region free I would totally order it (it's cave, so MAYBE we will get lucky), oh well at least we are getting Death Smiles soon!

Unlike MF, this one is not region-locked free. Could be bad news or could be Cave is in the process of localizing some of their games. DeathSmiles being the first step. I hope that's the case.

So when X360A gets emailed the lists the people who send the emails are too lazy to translate the list to english?

#6, I searched youtube for "EspGaluda 2" I found only 6 stages of gameplay. The first stage took the person 2:20 to beat...and at the end of the 6th stage (which took about 12 minutes) it appears the game ended...I can't be sure, but if that's true, then this game cant be much longer then an hour of gameplay from start to finish...

Been waiting for this :D

I hope it's region free like Mushihime-sama Futari Version 1.5. Then I can finally order it.

#9, you are completely missing the point of STGs. I guarantee you, you won't be able to "beat" the game in an hour. I can't count how many hours I put into for example Dodonpachi, which technically is also that "short". And I'm still not able to complete the second run. It took me ages to just REACH that.

Granted, it's a genre that is not for everyone, but it has its audience, and some people (like me) adore them and would take them over Assassins Creed 45 anytime.

The term "IGNORANCE IS BLISS." is never more true when they post Japanese achievements...

Anyways, Limited Edition Pre-sales are sold out!

I'm gutted that this is region locked. Good news about Deathsmiles though. Although whether it makes it to the UK is doubtful. Perhaps they'll leave the US version unlocked....if you're reading this American localisation people, PLEASE make the US Deathsmiles region free, Europe is depending on you!!!!
