The secret achievements are probably all single player, and the 100G ones are probably "beat the game as each side". This list actually doesn't look too terrible, I might check this one out.

I think I can speak for the nerd community when i say that this movie looks entirely forgettable. I can't imagine the game would be much better.

What audience are they going fo with this movie? And why pick a name that a japanese anime already has, and has a movie coming out based on it?

Cameron: you fail. Your finger is on the pulse of the everyman-right up your ass.

Game doesn't look too bad, kind of like GOW. As for the multiplayer - 150 games? Fuck that.

Meh doesn't look that bad tbh, assuming the Secret's and sector things are SP. Then if the MP is boostable too it will be an easy 980

I can't imagine that the multiplayer community will be very active for this game. The movie looks interesting, so I may check that out. As for the game, I think I'll pass.

the films supposed to of taken him years..and tbh doesnt look like 1 i would willingly pay to see. this game and list seem to of taken 5mins...

smells like another trash Movie/game tie in..

Lets not forget the "selling point!!" to get the full effect you need a HD3DTV... and the film is supposed to be 3d as well.. "yawn" NEXT!!

These achievements are terrible.
Not to mention that the movie looks like garbage.
I've never liked Cameron's work. He still hasn't changed my opinion of him.

I love checking for the new games and achievements posted on this site. I waited a few days since the last post of Vancouver 2010, checking up on the site every few hours.... finally a new post.... and it is a huge let down. Calling this game sh*t would be a compliment to all other sh*t games out there.

Why is everybody insulting the game?

Given that it's nothing ground-breaking, but go to YouTube to look up the gameplay videos and see that it actually looks entertaining.

Most movie games suck, yes. But just because a game is based on a movie doesn't make it automatically flop, look at the Wolverine game.

I mean, the developer's work hard on this stuff. Possibly years. It doesn't justify you saying "rubbish" or "lolbad" when you most likely don't know anything about the game other than the fact that it's based off of a movie.

Wednesday, November 11, 2009 @ 02:37:44 AM

@ 35

Wolverine wasn't a flop because people like the Wolverine character, and the X-Men movies were pretty good (well apart from 3)

Whilst I agree some of the hate is undeserved, this whole franchise (movie and game) has a high potential of crashing and burning, and possibly being one of the biggest and most expensive flops in the history of movies.

Back on topic, terrible, generic achievements, with terrible, generic tiles. This is certainly not a list to inspire you to buy the game.

Wednesday, November 11, 2009 @ 03:28:06 AM

i hate it when it looks like no thought has gone into the acheivements. Is it really that hard to design some nice acheivement tiles??? This game, like the film, is shaping up to be an epic failure.

The gameplay looked very meh when I seen it.

And this list does looks pretty crap.
Multiplayer achievements, which they don't seem to understand everyone hates and I think it would be safe to say that "Sector challenges" will most likely be boring and frustrating.

Wednesday, November 11, 2009 @ 06:15:00 AM

@35 I think it was 3 years. They mentioned it in one their vids.

However. The game and the movie doesn't even have the same story. The game takes place 2-3 years before the movie. Maybe it was 5. I forgot.

I don't think that online achievements are that bad. At least there isn't anything that will take you months to attain, and most of them are pretty easy.
It all comes down to how long the match takes in minimum, as only that 150 matches is going to take time, and I don't even think that it will take longer than week. or few to get it legaly, if this game will get an onlinecommunity.

Normally i wouldn't judge a game from its acheivments, but this is just screaming 'fail' to me. Honestly could they not have put some more effort into the gamertiles, i know they aren't everything, but it just goes to show you how much effort they are willing to put in.

It's a little uncreative, but I have a feeling a majority of you said "No way" when you saw the 150 games achievement. Achievements don't always have to be a quick 1k. Most of you haven't played the game but because of an achievement list you aren't used to, you cry foul. Sad.

@54

I totally agree. The Ranked Champion Achievement on Unreal Tournamemt 3 (500 Ranked WINS) didnt put me off that game. Was a long boost. Gamers should never let achievement TOTALLY dictate which games they buy, if that happens then there is a problem.

UBISOFT

Always makes games which are okay but rarely great. 95% of them are just average.

This doesn't look like its gonna break that trend. Probably okay, but forgettable.

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
